- Patrick WaiNovember 27, 2025Light weight but enjoyable. Comic book-like stylish story.
- makdelartNovember 13, 2025Even if not everything fits together logically in terms of the plot, it is still enjoyable to watch, and the interesting idea provokes reflection on the improvement of the human body (transplants, cyborgisation) and the side effects of AI development.
- Dominic SelvaggioNovember 3, 2025Upgrade is a slick, gritty blend of sci-fi and revenge thriller that delivers some jaw-dropping action and dark humor, but doesn’t quite live up to its full potential.
- DisentOctober 15, 2025better than expected, a bit jarring at times and rushed feeling, but over all entertaining, original and graphic. Doesnt have that Australian made stink all over it.
- YabberOctober 13, 2025Made me cum, STEM was the one making me cum.
- mlektraOctober 2, 2025Amazing sci-fi. Totally recommend.
- Neon GhloesSeptember 17, 2025Archeoastronomer Charles Holloway's best cinematic presentation yet! Some truly INCREDIBLE camera work, and STUNNING hordes of digital compositing! The vfx never seem to poke through the veil here. So this one is a winner! Kinda shitty story since I don't get the complete, and full history of this future universe and it's general dystopia. I feel neglected... But still a really, really neat movie to wartch! If you are into movies... This is definitely, A MOVIE!
- neuroparadoxSeptember 3, 2025This is why you read the EULA. 📄 Great movie, best going in blind!
- TimewalkSeptember 3, 2025The story is very shallow.
- M08YJuly 17, 2025Upgrade is a solid action sci-fi movie that never overstays its welcome. The premise is simple and the execution surprisingly good. The action is snappy really well put together. This is brought home by a streamlined plot and servicable performances all round. Talent really shines through on movies with such a small budget ($3 Million according to a quick google). Every single penny is on display here, the visuals are all present and correct (even if rather boring) and there is absolutely no garish CGI on display. The fight scenes have a robotic fluidity to them that you rarely see. The 4K bluray is a slight *upgrade* over the 1080p but the film lacks the cinematography to really take advantage of the format. The audio is fine.
- darsanJune 23, 2025"grey's not here anymore. he's in a better place... in his mind, where he wants to be. i've taken over now. a fake world is a lot less painful than the real one." goddamn this was such a wild ride, the action and the visuals are on a different level and the story had me on the edge of my seat, this is definitely one of the most underrated sci-fi films out there.
- JoelMay 25, 2025Are we sure Sam Altman isn’t living out the plot of this movie right now? This absolutely rips, the action is incredible. Top tier cyberpunk vibes in a way that feels way too possible with the current AI advancements.
- Jay Ashley SparksApril 10, 2025An outstanding sci-fi epic! with a low budget this is one of the unsung heroes of 2018 and quite possibily one of the best sci-fi movies of the last 10 years. An outstanding performance from Logan Marshall-Green. I've read that this was a rip on Venom and couldn't disagree more. The perfermances and cinematography work so well under the direction of Leigh Whannell, a story that could well have come out of the mind of Philip K. DIck himself. A great low budget adventure
- pjljrNovember 21, 2024Upgrade is a well-paced story that keeps your attention to the very end, although the end of the story is predictable. It is a cautionary warning to us about the ever outpacing of technology to the human ability to manage and control.
