- Zokkiie7 settembre 2026Those four names alone, holy smokes. Clint Eastwood, Gene Hackman, Morgan Freeman and Richard Harris in the same western is insane casting. And the movie actually delivers. Everyone is great, although I really wish they’d given Harris a bit more to do. It’s beautifully shot, the dialogue is fantastic, and the whole thing feels gritty and lived-in. It’s definitely slow, but I think the pacing works. I love how it strips away the usual cowboy hero stuff and shows how ugly and brutal violence really is. The final act is incredible, the score fits perfectly, and the ending sticks with you. An absolute classic.

A great movie and an incredible performance by Clint Eastwood. Gene Hackman and Morgan Freeman are also excellent, as usual.

The casting was perfect, the writing was perfect and the cinematography was quite nice too. Also this film ends an era for Eastwood being his last Western. All the accolades and awards are completely justified for this great story.
