“Under Therapy” is an intelligent comedy that, with only one room and three couples, hooks you from minute one. The psychologist leaves seemingly simple envelopes, but as the discussions progress, the dynamics between the characters become increasingly crazy and unexpected. Humor is the driving force of the film, and although there are tense moments, there is no shortage of laughs. The dialogues are sharp and the performances are so well done that, little by little, each couple reveals their true colors. What begins as a simple group therapy session ends up being an emotional roller coaster. It's light, funny, but also makes you think a bit about relationships and how we show ourselves to others. If you're looking for a good time and a good laugh with chaotic but believable situations, “Under Therapy” is a great choice. I give it 9/10 because it strikes a perfect balance between laughs and reflection.

The six-person ensemble is strong from top to bottom, but in the end it's the quietest performance-Malena Alterio's submissive Marta-that is the most memorable, lending this entertaining romp a poignant feminist edge.
