Love how this film starts off with the FBI terrorizing a group of high schoolers on a bus Also love how the “dumb” cops still act the exact same 25 years later i.e. Detectives Fusco & Chad All cocaine scenes are great but this one is exceptional. Immediately followed by the turkey quotes! So incredible Clearly, I’m in a mood. Super surreal couple of days! Probably inspired by the fact I crippled myself with alcohol!

Another Lynchian masterpiece. Warning : it is better to watch first the seasons 1 & 2 of the Twin Peaks series.

“when this kind of fire starts, it is very hard to put out. the tender boughs of innocence burn first, and the wind rises, and then all goodness is in jeopardy.” complete misery, total devastation. laura palmer the homecoming queen; laura palmer the martyr; laura palmer the singular person. she was light and life and the entirety of existence, and suffered as much. it doesn’t get any easier, watching the disintegration of her world. sheryl lee taps into something so complex— primordial fear and anguish and something entirely heartbreaking. the tragic catharsis of a battered spirit finally seeing her angel, far past the moment of reckoning, is too much to bear. nobody could save her from herself; from her abuse; from her father. like bobby said, “everybody knew she was in trouble, but we didn’t do anything.” it’s sickening. lynch doesn’t just provide us with a look into the last week of her life— he treats her with the empathy and humanity she so desperately craved and deserved. she is the crux of the show and the film and the town, and we are all worse off without her.

If you're gonna watch this, I highly recommend the extended "Blue Rose Cut" fan-edit. It combines of the original film with the collection of deleted scenes that was released awhile after the OG film. It's the only way to get the complete picture. Oh, and even if you want to watch Twin Peaks in chronological order, don't. This is a series that benefits the most from watching it all in release order.

It helped a lot to clarify some loose points of the series
