Turning Red Ratings & Reviews
- Kevin WardJuly 14, 2025My youngest son (7) has been looking forward to this movie for weeks. He knows I frequently get passes to early screenings of movies and he’s been asking if I could get them for “Tuwning Wed.” (He still doesn’t pronounce his R’s and it sounds too cute that we don’t correct him). He doesn’t exactly follow movie release dates that closely though so we were still able to surprise him last night. We really loved this one. It’s great seeing the Asian representation in cinema. Much of the family dynamic was very relatable. Pixar’s animation is Lightyears (pun intended) ahead of most competition. It’s a very cute story on the challenges of coming into adolescence. It’s not top tier Pixar, but that’s an insanely high bar to set. I’m sure it’s one that my son will watch over and over for the next few months and I’m won’t have any complaints sitting along with him.
