This story began in 2020 when Robert Orlando was holed up in his studio during the Coronavirus watching old movies. All he saw on T.V. were attacks on Donald Trump, so he decided to watch an old film, Citizen Kane. During a T.V. interview, Trump told another filmmaker that Kane was his favorite film. That Orlando's mind racing; He knew that film. Since film school, He'd seen it at least two dozen times. Did Trump know that the story ended in tragedy? Did he have a secret, Rosebud? As for Orlando's trip to Washington, you'll never believe who I spoke with and what he uncovered. Orlando said, "That's all we need -- another political film or subject matter. My impulse was a filmmaker's deeper dive into the media to understand the most influential figure of our times and his parallels with Kane."
