- OdinTheRavenKing-1 d.## Synopsis Dillinger's family is back trying to make a master control program. But their AI isn't listening and their hunt for the permanence code has Flynn's new CEO on the run. ## Review The first thing I have to talk about is the music. It was both this throw back to movies like [[Wanted]] and [[Underworld]], but with the modern overhaul. I really enjoyed it. However, the movie sound engineer needs to be fired. I would have missed probably 25% of the movie’s dialogue or more because the balance sucked. Thank God I turned on subtitles. I actually think this might be Jared Leto’s best film. He also plays a flat, toned, personality and because he comes from the grid, it makes sense. You also have Athena who is played by the Dr. from [[The Agency]] so that was cool to see. She is alright, but her character was just so stupidly written. Can we talk about the action in this movie? The idea of things coming from the Grid to the real world, I’m on board for. However, I don’t know if I can get on board with a flying square and light beams that are both able to cut a car in half and have bounce to them. How do the physics of those things make any sense. In the grid sure, but real world? Nope. I can see the argument that the lasers are able to build DNA, so things like trees work, but you can fly a square with 4 boosters the size of a manhole cover I don’t think. ## [My Rating] This movie is very entertaining. Good music, fun action, but it just had some odd character decisions. I like the full circle moments that showed up in the movie bridging [[Tron]] and [[Tron Legacy]] together with this. It is this bow that makes me feel like while they did leave an opening for another movie, it won’t come out anytime soon, if at all. It’s good airplane movie making it a 7. ## [Parental Rating] I am not sure how they would feel about this. There is violence and some language. I don't remember and sex or nudity so that is good. I think the content just isn't something my mom would watch, but I think my dad would be all about it. With that in mind, I am going to say approved by Dad and rejected by Mom.
- Spaceman Joe22. oktober 2025I think this franchise has some kind of curse- either that or I’m not seeing the same movies the critics are seeing. Tron: Ares is amazing. The music was sick. Not quite Legacy level awesome but pretty darn good. I about started levitating in the opening scene. Although yes, this movie could’ve had more inside the Grid, it was still such a cool looking film. Literally some of the coolest cinematography I’ve ever seen. Just the pure aura was insane. And as for Jared Leto, the reason so many people hate this, I think this was the right movie for him. People say he’s bland and emotionless as an actor? Well, now he plays an AI. So it actually works. Say what you will about his performance in other movies, but his style of acting works better in this setting. And besides, he’s the whole reason we have this sequel. Did y’all want another Tron or not?? I don’t know what people DON’T see in this franchise. For the third time in a row, a good movie was poorly received and the franchise was near terminated. Even some of the few critics that actually liked Legacy are hating on this. I’m pretty sure we won’t get the sequels this movie desperately deserves, maybe they’ll manage to squeeze one more try with new characters in another 20 years.
- Jeremiah15. juli 2026Blame it on the rain. Ares feels real rain for the first time and decides to become a good person because of it. If only that could happen to Jared Leto. I had fun with this. I like the world of Trons. I like the aesthetic and i like being in them and visiting them. I do wish Tron 3 woulda been a proper sequel to Tron Legacy but we didn't do that. And regardless of this doing its own thing, which again, wasn't what i would have preferred, what it did do was pretty decent. Its a bit thin in aspects for sure, story and character wise, but it delivers on spectacle and its effects are nearly flawless.
- Dad12. juli 2026I finally watched it and was pleasantly surprised. It didn't try to reboot the story, it actually added to it. A bit of retro 80's was nice as well as the connection with Flynn. I thought the cast did a great job but I deducted a star because Leto is a weirdo in every other movie he's done, which is why it took me so long to watch this.
- Zercomnexus8. juli 2026Worthy successor with an incredible score as before. I removed a star because some aspects of the acting or story felt strange or even out of sorts. The plot is decent but felt more akin to a more hollow action film than what tron has been before. Overall it is still a fun, even emotional, ride that will keep you entertained and I fully recommend it. I just wouldn't say its flawless or a masterpiece. Enjoy
