Tron: Ares Ratings & Reviews
- RickOctober 9, 2025Maybe I’m a simple man but give me lots of light trails, a booming NIN score, and some sick 3D. It did just that. The plot wasn’t much, but I didn’t need it to be. It did its part to set up some incredible set pieces.
- András MonokiOctober 10, 2025I think this movie Disney's first good movie with a real meaning in a long time
- Paul Edwin Modiga2d agoCool movie enjoyed every minute watching this.
- Spaceman JoeOctober 22, 2025I think this franchise has some kind of curse- either that or I’m not seeing the same movies the critics are seeing. Tron: Ares is amazing. The music was sick. Not quite Legacy level awesome but pretty darn good. I about started levitating in the opening scene. Although yes, this movie could’ve had more inside the Grid, it was still such a cool looking film. Literally some of the coolest cinematography I’ve ever seen. Just the pure aura was insane. And as for Jared Leto, the reason so many people hate this, I think this was the right movie for him. People say he’s bland and emotionless as an actor? Well, now he plays an AI. So it actually works. Say what you will about his performance in other movies, but his style of acting works better in this setting. And besides, he’s the whole reason we have this sequel. Did y’all want another Tron or not?? I don’t know what people DON’T see in this franchise. For the third time in a row, a good movie was poorly received and the franchise was near terminated. Even some of the few critics that actually liked Legacy are hating on this. I’m pretty sure we won’t get the sequels this movie desperately deserves, maybe they’ll manage to squeeze one more try with new characters in another 20 years.
- EneffDecember 10, 2025Fuck you Disney. Completely ruined a movie that had so much potential. I'm actually mad about this because I loved the remake so much. This is just lazy unimaginative slop that shits on the source material.
- FrançoisOctober 14, 2025Not bad but could be better if they did a better work linking this movie with the precedent one
- obamab64d agoIt was an average movie that didn't live up to the original.
- John Williams4d agoIt was a entertaining movie if you liked the last two. More of the same if that is what you are looking for.
- remii4d agoSkip it if you are above 12 years old. Throwing different concepts in the mix with no regard to the feasibility is suprême cringe. If you are in tech or physics beware.
- bush.366d agoLove this movie
- Mike9719October 29, 2025Awesome movie!
- Aaron WestOctober 11, 2025Watch this in IMAX or ScreenX. Booming audio and stunning visuals. Sci-fi entertainment at its finest.
- Dave vincentOctober 20, 2025Well worth the watch and great effects
- CmdrJorgsDecember 4, 2025Tron movies have always pushed the envelope on visual effects, and Ares is no exception. I watched this in IMAX 3D in an early screening, and it was stunning. However, the story is so laughably contrived that it made Legacy feel like a masterpiece. Ares continually undermines its own stakes every 10 minutes. The dialogue could get unbearably cheesy in even the simplest of conversations. The film felt like it was edited by a teen who would snort cocaine off their phone constantly playing tik-tok videos. No amount of special effects could redeem the massacre that occurred in the writers' room. Look, I know it's unbearably asenine to complain about the quality of Ares' writing when you take the previous two films into account; Tron never was praised for its story. But at least Legacy was trying to respect the source material. Ares retconned Legacy in some significant ways and relied heavily on fan-service to a degree that was offensively blatant. It's not a Tron movie, it doesn't belong in that universe. (The original writer only played a minor advisory role on Ares, similar to Lucas on post-Disney acquisition Star Wars.)
- Rocket976October 11, 2025It was good. I expected to really dislike leto but he played the part well. No woke crap in it either guess disney needs to make some money. I thoroughly disliked Jodie Smith in Ackolyte however she played this part well.
