Transformers One Ratings & Reviews
- VarunNovember 1, 2024How are people not talking enough about this movie? It’s freaking EPIC. The animation completely rules, so many cool scenes and the camera angles during the action scenes are dynamic and awesome. The characters are really well written, with Orion and D-16’s friendship being the best central focus of the film. The soundtrack is killing it. The pacing is perfect. The humour is fun. The designs and transformations of some of the characters were pretty cool. I really liked the depictions of both Iacon and the outer world. I think it also has a nice critique on how myths can shape people’s lives. I’ve only seen all the live action movies, haven’t watched the animated show so I’ve never been steeped in the lore of this franchise and I’m not particularly a big fan or anything, but this movie was exciting af and I badly want a sequel. I wish I had watched this in theatres in 3D. The story is a bit formulaic and I saw the plot twist coming from the very start although I think it’s meant to be obvious, but there’s real stakes in this film and the gravity of many situations especially early on in the story hit hard. It’s not perfect but I’m giving a 10 based on how much earnestness, energy, enjoyment and epicness this movie is packed with.
- ScottDecember 14, 2024It’s fun and well-made. I also love the idea that even though at this point in the story the transformers have never been to earth, they still transform into cars and jets like they’re the crabs of robotic life. Eventually all robots converge and transform into a corolla.
- turbob245d agoThe best Transformers movie since 1986! Fun, beautiful, impactful.... It's a real shame it didn't do well at the box office cos this was a real highlight for the franchise!
- ZokkiieMarch 1, 2026Surprisingly good for a Transformers origin story. The film makes the rivalry between Orion Pax and D‑16 feel real, and the animation brings the robots to life better than ever. The world feels alive, the characters have charm, and the action is exciting without being chaotic. It’s light in spots, but overall a fun, character-driven ride that finally does justice to the franchise.
- thereelvoiceApril 30, 2025Transformers One is a surprisingly well crafted story that dives into the origins of a friendship gone awry. A young Orion Pax (Optimus Prime) and D-16 (Megatron) are miners on their home world. Through ambition and a bit of luck the two discover secrets that will change the fate of Cybertron forever. Their ideas of what this means for the fate of their kind will also change the meaning of the relationship. This is a story of friends bonded like brothers before they became bitter rivals. Transformers One is a compelling film that will more than likely leave you feeling a bit nostalgic.
- Adam & NoraFebruary 28, 2026For adults, who are familiar with at least the movies, it's quite predictable. Still, it was enjoyable for a harmless family movie night. Better than most of the recent cinematic experiences.
- danbut22February 25, 2026Deserves a sequel
- ElecMoHwkMay 2, 2025Better than all of the Michael Bay movies easily. Felt like it was back to the truth of the material, and a fitting update to the originals
- MiloAugust 26, 2025“I’m done saving you!” “Nooooooo!”
- SylmandFebruary 20, 2026Totally EPIC!!!
- XiaoFebruary 19, 2026I KNOW BANGERS AND THIS RIGHT HERE IS A BANGER
- afore19October 17, 2025Easily the best Transformers movie.
- kaijualexFebruary 17, 2026Genuinely disappointed...that we might not get a sequel because this was the BEST rendition of Transformers I've seen in quite a while! It was fun, action packed, funny and full of heart. Like my Transformers from the 80s! We definitely need more movies like this!
- Daniel TaylorJanuary 16, 2026This was way better than I expected and easily earns five stars. It brings fresh energy to the Transformers world while still respecting what made it great in the first place. The animation is slick, the story actually has heart, and the way it explores the origins and relationships makes everything feel more meaningful. It’s fun, emotional in the right moments, and never feels like it’s just noise for the sake of it. A perfect entry point for new fans and a really satisfying watch for long time Transformers fans. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- LynneJanuary 11, 2026One of the best movies I've seen in a while.
