Transformers: Dark of the Moon Ratings & Reviews
- flavo43November 26, 2025Transformers: Dark of the Moon delivers some of the most impressive action and robot combat sequences in the entire franchise. The large-scale battles, visual effects, and city-level destruction are top-notch, showcasing the Transformers at their most dynamic and visually stunning. The storyline itself isn’t bad—there are interesting ideas involving the Space Race, Sentinel Prime, and a darker conspiracy—but it could have been fleshed out further to give the emotional beats more weight. Where the film truly lets itself down is with the human cast. Despite this being the third entry in the series, several performances feel unchanged, lacking growth or depth. It’s as if the actors never fully evolved with the escalating stakes of the story. This was disappointing, especially since the human perspective is meant to anchor the chaos. Still, the spectacle, pacing, and sheer scale make Dark of the Moon an exciting watch. The live-action performances simply couldn’t match the excellence of the robots.
- M08YNovember 19, 2025Bigger, Better and Cooler... Than Revenge of the Fallen. Dark of the Moon is a considerable step up from Revenge of the Fallen. The majority of the angst and cheese is gone in this one and we are left with lots of big robots, bigger battles and plenty of explosive carnage. The plot takes steps to make it feel slightly more complicated than it really is. Conspiracies, Government Coverups and assignations further the plot nicely, but it isn't quite enough to engage the thinking part of your brain. The final battle is absolutely glorious, destruction is turned up to the max and made easier to follow by having us follow the humans and not just the Transformers. In conclusion, Dark of the Moon is a good film to kick back and relax with. It makes enough sense to not pull you out but maintains the mindless carnage and coolness of the previous entries. The audio and visuals are solid. As usual, Optimus' voice is incredible. Some of the CGI looks a bit janky at times (Sam swinging around on StarScream).
- ColeJune 11, 2025The quintessential American blockbuster
- Domanic HenryNovember 10, 2025I loved it was so 👍 good
- Terry PhanSeptember 22, 2025“Where would you be without me?” “Time to find out.” Optimus Prime really showed Sentinel Prime and Megatron who’s boss. The intense battles always happen at the very end as we can see from the first 2 movies but it’s worth the wait.
- Nathan MagretaJuly 23, 2025This movie was definitely made for money, but with great action, interesting story, and great visuals, this film brings the franchise to it's peak and is almost as good as Transformers.
- ZokkiieJuly 7, 2025It’s loud, chaotic, and full of robot carnage — classic Michael Bay. The visuals are impressive, especially during the Chicago battle. Optimus Prime gets some great moments, but the story feels messy. Shia LaBeouf yells a lot, and the new love interest doesn’t add much. It drags at times and could’ve been shorter. Still, if you’re here for action and spectacle, it delivers.
- Lucas MagretaJuly 3, 2025this was really good. one of the best transformers movies but not the best. shockwave was a really good dicepticon. it was one of my favorites for a while but then soundwave came and I saw him and he was better
