- Jacob2026年3月11日I watched this with my little sister this morning. Toy Story 2 (1999) manages to catch lightning in a bottle twice, after the major success of its' predecessor. It's also one of the best sequels of all-time.

- LivewireAdmin2026年2月3日Hadn't seen this in years but it still holds up! My sister and cousin have started a re-watch project for all of the Pixar catalogue and this was the first winner of our randomized watch list. Pixar and team somehow took the magic of the first one and elevated the story, the emotion, the stakes and the characters. Joan Cusack's Jessie is a masterclass in VO work. Not to disparage some of the excellent work Tom Hanks, Tim Allen and company deliver here, it's all top notch. The animation is really the only thing that doesn't hold up after all these years, mainly due to Pixar themselves elevating the medium in the subsequent two decades after Toy Story 2. I'm pretty sure most of these Pixar films are gonna rank high when it comes to re-watchability. Thank God that one employee saved this movie from being completely lost! - Herin Espinosa2025年8月7日The jump from Toy Story to Toy Story 2 is absolutely mind-boggling. It is visually stunning even today, such gorgeous lighting, buttery smooth animation, and an incredible sense of scale across so many different environments this time around. This came out only FOUR YEARS after the first one and it feels 10x bigger, but also just as personal and heartfelt. It's a triumph and a sequel in every sense of the word. The first film focuses so strongly on Woody and Buzz, but I really love how much more we get of all the other characters here. Everyone gets a great line or moment to shine. They even expand the cast with tons of new characters, and yet it somehow doesn't feel like any of it was underdeveloped or meaningless. And all of this in under two hours! Wrap this all up with a moving score, sharp writing, and a perfect finale (whoever thought of ending an adventure movie like this in an airport is a genius) and you have an unquestionably phenomenal movie. A must-watch for anyone and everyone.
