- Michael HarrisonMay 2, 2025Enjoyed this from start to finish and can see me rewatching it ALOT
- Jeremiah14h agoSentry in the comics, In his original appearances is just a bonkers story. It’s basically abandoned for this MCU tangible version. Woulda been wild if they coulda adapted it more faithfully. That said there is some Sentry/Void and Yelena stuff that really clicked with me. It got me feeling pretty emotional dealing with the trauma, depression and loneliness of it all. The big battle of this was both what you’d expect and also not at all what you would expect, so that was refreshing. The snarky nature of almost every character (besides red guardian and sentry) wears pretty thin. Marvel has an apathy problem when dealing with the otherwise super serious situations, FF did this better. Too many characters exist in snarky and jokey realm. Not every character needs to be this way Marvel. I’ve come to hate a “cut the tension” joke on the tail of something heavy/serious… that said though, the sxene had me going from actual tears wirh bob and Yelena console to tears of laughter with the evil pillow joke. Talk about short changing taskmaster. It was a real Slipknot situation, at least Slipknot got to be a part of the team for 5 min though. Why was she even used in the marketing? idk. Some stuff really wasnt working for me but once again, despite being far from perfect, there is a lot to like and have fun with, and some emotional stuff really did work for me in here.
- JoelMay 2, 2025Second time watching, and man this is exactly what I’ve been wanting out of the MCU for so long. Hopefully Marvel learns that if you just get a good cast and crew of talented individuals and let them cook, you can make a great story out of any characters. (They won’t learn anything and will be back to pure slop asap)
- falkerMay 5, 2025What about Bob?
- Jairo Diez Ramos1d agoFirst half of the movie is great…. But too many jokes to try to be transcendental with the script. After several “not relevant marvel products”… this is a good starting point

- RipLinesManApril 29, 2025Thunderbolts maybe not go as crazy deep as Event Horizon (1997) but its still cool and got lots of grit and emoshuns and its part of Marvel so thats awesome. Event Horizen is like a horror in space with people going nuts but Thunderbolts is more like sad superheros being sad and dealing with stuff from before. Florence Pugh is really good as Yelena, she’s like fast and smart and cool. Winter Soldier (the sad guy with robot arm) and Red Gardian (the big funny russian dude) are also good. They all talk and fight and have like real friend vibes and work good as a teem. Its not just comic book fights but also thinking about feelings and bad things that happened, but no space demons like Event Horizen. Jake Schreer did the fights good and also the sad parts good too. Its nice that Marvel made one that dont treat us like dumb kids and let the movie be about deep things like pain and getting better and being not perfect. Event Horizen is all that but spooky, Thunderbolts is same but more superheros and less blood and no eye stuff.

- AevihJune 18, 2025Marvel is back.
- Megan CruzMay 1, 2025I’m not quite sure yet how this film will fare upon multiple viewings. The themes at work here definitely feel overbearing and even ham fisted in execution, and there’s an undeniable unseriousness to a lot of the plot but when watching this film, I had so much fun. It feels wonderfully character driven and has undeniable personality both in the way it’s shot and the way it approaches the large scale storytelling. I think further viewings could potentially push my rating even higher but I don’t know yet if my feelings about this film are being influenced by the relief of finally having an MCU installment that makes me excited for more for the first time in years. I don’t think that necessarily matters in the short term though. From a theater going perspective, this film is a win for me. The action is tight, the cast chemistry is delightful, I laughed so much, and even though it didn’t make me full on sob, I definitely teared up. It’s nice to see marvel actually having fun again and doing so with seemingly clear artistic intent.
- ZACH_ATTACKMay 17, 2025Honestly.I enjoyed watching this film, it has the emotion and seriousness i like in Marvel films, Not alot of people may agree with me...But i really enjoyed watching it, and i will definetly rewatch it
- Echo ParkinJune 11, 2025Marvel made a comeback with this movie since Loki and Moonknight 🔥
- Hipster ZOMBIEMay 4, 2025Marvel Studios doesn’t completely rebound with their latest entry, Thunderbolts, but it is at least a step in the right direction. Typically I think the whole anti-hero thing is kind of played out but it works here for the overall story. Marvel side lines woke messaging that have plagued their last couple of projects for a grittier, more grounded team-up movie that trades clean-cut heroics for complicated characters, visceral action, and a surprisingly sincere look at trauma and redemption. From its opening sequence, Thunderbolts delivers hard-hitting, brutal action that stands apart from the glossy spectacle of recent MCU installments. The fight choreography is raw and unpolished—matching the personalities of a team made up of anti-heroes, ex-assassins, and broken soldiers. Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) continues to shine with her dark humor, likability and her banter with Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) which adds levity without undercutting the film’s darker tone. Now I know a lot of people are going to bring up the mental health aspect of the film and either rave about it or absolutely HATE it. It didn’t detract anything from my experience and I actually quite liked the way they chose to depict it and the film’s final resolution. Director Jake Schreier smartly balances action and introspection, making sure the quieter moments between characters land just as hard as the explosive ones. Thunderbolts doesn’t offer clean answers or easy redemption, but it leans into the idea that healing is messy—and often, it’s done best with others who are just as lost. Thunderbolts however is not a perfect film. By the end the film wants to try to sell these loveable Z-listers as the New Avengers and after seeing these guys so easily get manhandled by a major threat, the idea of having them as Earth’s protectors isn’t very reassuring. Also Julia Louis Dreyfus once again shows just how horribly miscast she is here as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, where’s Nick Fury? Overall Thunderbolts blends chaotic energy with grounded emotion, anchored by compelling performances and a thoughtful exploration of mental scars.
