Thelma Ratings & Reviews
- RyezooFebruary 4, 2025What a pleasant surprise. Having my grandma live with us for long periods of time, certainly hit home and had me laughing the entire time. The cinematography and the coloring in this movie stood out as well. I cant wait to share this with my family. All around great time.
- VarunOctober 19, 2024A very wholesome and sweet movie that has some nice lessons on old age and family that’s delivered through a unique chase down journey. I wasn’t too big of a fan of the pacing. I also didn’t enjoy the comedy that much and some of the dialogues were a bit boring. But this is a really nice family film and I’m glad I watched the 90+ years old June Squibb give an absolutely amazing performance.
- Desmond DaleJanuary 24, 2025It's not really ever laugh out loud funny but more smirk inducing, but the type of smirk where you feel like you're smirking out of pity rather than genuine amusement. The grandson looks like a stoner but sounds like a extra reading from a teleprompter. The best thing Thelma has going for it is that it's kind of cute but unlike say Little Miss Sunshine it never crosses over into anything substantial or memorable.
- stevenjp90January 22, 2025Would of only been a 3 but as its based on true events it earns that extra star. Watched it in 2 halves just couldn't get into it, had some funny bits in there but all in all it was OK.
- Rob Logan | The Geek GenerationJanuary 14, 2025Delightful and charming. Serves as a witty and heartfelt commentary on aging while borrowing many tropes from action movies and scaling them down to match the protagonist. Also a fantastic final performance from Richard Roundtree.
