- Kevin Ward6. juli 2025Themes of skepticism vs faith and science vs religion are explored in a rural Irish village where an 11 y/o girl has reported been fasting for 4 months, sustained only by manna from heaven. Nurse Lib (Florence Pugh) is brought in to observe the young girl with a directive to bear witness to the miracle or refute the claims. Pugh is excellent, to no one’s surprise and carries the film through it’s rather slow pacing. A thought provoking drama but may be a bit too sluggish for a casual viewer.
