The Tank Ratings & Reviews
- Wesley B18 April 2026Started great and was fully engrossed in the Tanks mission, however the ending didn't quite work for me.
- PatrikStar3 January 20265 friends doing a mdma roadtrip in russia
- Eithan3 January 2026I’m not usually a fan of foreign films where I have to read subtitles, but I put this on thinking, “I’ll give it a go,” and I was hooked from the very beginning. I just kept watching, and before I knew it, the film was over. The action sequences were great, the characters were engaging, and the story was pretty solid too. I really enjoyed it. Highly recommend it to any tank/war movie lovers!
- oduj6 January 2026Crazy ending!
- Jon Sheffield14 February 2026This movie is very well done, excellent acting and production values, plot and action scenes are good. if you like WW2 films, you will like this one
- Brandon Winfield31 January 2026Beautiful shots. Ending makes the some of what I thought was “creative writing” make significantly more sense. Cinematography: 10/10 With that being said. I felt at the end as wanting more. Just another second to let it all.. sink in you know? Instead I was very immediately meet with the credits. The end of the story was great (not amazing) but a minute or 2 more (even if just silence/aftermath) to take it all in would have made the ending a lot better. Overall: Absolutely worth the watch. English Dub is nearly perfect.
- susan.60329 January 2026Great tank movie but the crappy existential ending betrays its audience. Looks like the writers couldn't think of a way to finish up and just cheated. The ending make the movie not worth watching.
- Bert Branson29 January 2026Really enjoyed it. Well shot and executed and quietly tense. Loved the ending.
- soloworx29 January 2026Awful. Wasted two hours of my life on this movie.
- chelog24 January 2026Make me remember the famous "Das Boot", with an esoteric twist. Very nice movie, very well done.
- eugnn20 January 2026As usual for German productions this is absolute garbage. No character development, no love to detail, the ending was done couple of times already by other war movies and you could see it a mile away.
- kgregory198820 January 2026Right up there with some of the best war movies I've seen, and the best one I've seen since the remake of all quiet on the western front.
- plexidean7 January 2026i have to say, for a war genre movie, this does things right, although the ending couldve used a bit of pampering. worth a watch
- ahwoo6 January 2026I expected a German version of 'Fury' but got something pleasantly different.
- Aevih5 January 2026Good (non American) war movie from the Nazi side
- Paul Schwartz5 January 2026I really like this movie, a perspective we usually don't see. a very compelling story. No spoilers here yet this, it's not German (fury movie) like I've seen suggested .good plot, good action, good acting. And a surprising end.
- Jkrilin5 January 2026Der Tiger begins with an intense premise: a German crew in a Tiger I tank receives a secret mission behind enemy lines during World War II. The film delves into the claustrophobia of the tank, the psychological stresses of its crew, and the brutality of the Eastern Front. Visually, there are powerful moments, and the intention to explore the characters' internal conflicts alongside the moral weight of war is ambitious. However, the execution leaves much to be desired: the pacing feels slow and heavy, the narrative is unclear in its direction, and the story, although it could have been profound, ends up being confusing and disjointed. Scenes that should be impactful lose their power, and overall, the film fails to connect emotionally or maintain interest as one would expect from a war drama. In summary: the film has ideas, but it fails to develop any of them effectively.
