Directed by James MarshWhere to Watch The Theory of Everything
- Jamie Talbot9 July 2025A fairly decent movie about Stephan Hawking. I thought the first hour of this film was perfect, a great insight into the early life of Hawking. With him at university coming up with his theories and falling in love with Jane. However the second hour was underwhelming and didn’t suck me in as the first hour did. Personally I would’ve been more interested in Stephan himself coming up with new theories and developing further on his old and the maths used however it was more focused on the marriage with him and Jane. This does make sense with the film being based off the book that Jane wrote which went into detail about her relationship with Stephan and the struggles of diagnosis of motor neurone disease. Eddie Redmayne did an incredible job of playing Stephan Hawking, very convincing performance from him.
