'The Scoop' begins with a wounded man trying to get away from his attacker. He finds temporary sanctuary in a University dorm, where he hides a letter in a mail box. He is then found by his attacker who kills him. Jeff is you typical college senior. He finds the letter in his mailbox and sees that it is addressed to the Vice President of the University. Thinking he might get a reward, he decides to return it. At the President's office he meets a young secretary who he has sex with, only to find out she's sixteen. He runs out of her room only to be attacked by a Cowboy who wants to know what his angle in all this is. 'The Scoop' is about Jeff trying to find out what the answer to this big mystery is. He must also deal with a budding relationship with a girl named April, the antics of his insensitive best friend, and a room mate from hell in this character driven comedy/mystery.
