- LivewireAdminOctober 7, 2025I remember being really freaked out by this when it came out. I worked at a movie theater back in '07 and I distinctly remember watching the trailer play in theaters and thinking that this is one that I'll need to watch. 18 years later and I can now see how the filmmakers sacrificed quality in order to maintain the illusion of an amateur documentary. It doesn't hold up well with the titular tapes barely offering any scares and veering more into torture porn. I'm a huge fan of "found footage" horror movies but they need to be made correctly and with people who have a basic grasp on acting. letterboxd: FilmPhanPA
- James PearsonOctober 2, 2025Horrendous audio mixing, couldn't enjoy anything as the static was so annoying
- DigitalDisappointmentFebruary 24, 2025Amateurish, 'experts' who fail to use the correct terminology, felt very low budget probably because it was.
