- 匚卂尺ㄥJanuary 30, 2025🌩️ When I first saw this at the multiplex way back in 2000 I didn’t much like it, but watching it again almost 20 years later as a grown-up it is actually a very good film , its well acted and very well made. having done some research on this it seems nobody knows exactly what happened to the Andrea Gale but I suspect what is depicted in the film is not too far from reality. It certainly isn’t a feel good film, the overall tone is downbeat and gritty and the ending is very sad, you want them to succeed so badly – it’s heartbreaking to watch as their situation goes from bad, to worse, to hopeless, but it certainly gives one an appreciation for what men like this go through and the risks they take.
