- thomasrogers753February 21, 2026This one just didn’t hit for me. It felt as if there was four stories going on all at the same time and none of them could grab me. I just couldn’t really get into the movie, was not for me.

It features an outstanding cast, of which I particularly want to praise John Cusack. One look at Mr. Van Wetter and I knew what I needed to know. Nuff said there. Kidman managed to be her usual charming self despite the tramp of a character she got here. Efron and McConaughey worked great as brothers and I especially liked how Jack connected with the rest of the world. I haven't read the book, but I'm looking forward to see how it compares.
