- Pascal BollierOctober 10, 2025okay, first things first. i cannot, never have and never will like depardieu. i can't stand the dude. di caprio was not good either his louis was okay, but his philippe felt off. but........malkovich, irons and especially gabriel byrne were fantastic! add in a score by glennie-smith that speaks to a simpleton like me and you have a movie i enjoyed more than i should have :-)

While it boasts an impressive A-list cast, the production stumbles with lackluster set designs, awkward dialogue, and uninspired fight choreography. The pacing feels off, dragging in some spots while rushing through others. Despite these shortcomings, there's a bit of an appeal that makes it a guilty pleasure.
