- StreetterOctober 19, 2025Richard Donner was the original director of this movie. Original script was supposed to be about Peter Pan & The Lost Boys being vampires that never aged. Such a great concept on a fairytale. Unfortunately Donner left production to direct Lethal Weapon. Joel Schumacher took over and needed to change the movie by a certain percentage to be listed as the director, enter the comical Frogger Brothers and name changes; Peter became David, Hook became Max. I have always wondered how much better this movie would have been if Donner got to finish this film.

- maddiechismDecember 6, 2025really fun vampire movie, its unfortunate it came out right before near dark and overshadowed it when it really shouldnt have, they're such different movies, even though they have a similar plot of boy meets girl whos in with vamps and gets turned, near dark is a much moodier film, while this is very much a comedy. the dogs were the real mvps.
