The Little Foxes Ratings & Reviews
Mister Arn

The opening paints a picture of the genteel South, and then the story unfolds into a tale of greed and exploitation. "The Little Foxes" is well-made, with great acting, and enjoyable to watch.

Brilliant filmmaking. One of the best films ever made.
Gone With The Twins
Mike Massie
An excellent occasion for Davis to show her chops as a villain.

Bette Davis could freeze almost anyone with her icy stare, the practiced look of a woman who's learned how to operate in the man's world of business, in director William Wyler's film version of Lillian Hellman's chilly play...
Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews
Dennis Schwartz
When viewed today, the hysterical melodrama seems creaky.
EmanuelLevy.Com
Emanuel Levy
Significantly (and surprisingly) the nasty tone of Hellman's morality drama about corruption and greed in a Southern clan remained intact, allowing Bette Davis (in a role that Bankhead originated on stage) to shine as the amoral and immoral matriarch
Metro Weekly (Washington, DC)
Randy Shulman
One of the best films ever made.
Not Coming to a Theater Near You
Matt Bailey
The Little Foxes is worth seeing for a number of reasons from its beautiful and innovative cinematography to the striking and mordantly witty screenplay.

A classic example of how a play can be successfully adapted into a movie.

Dan Jardine
Sharply written, insightful and still timely study of turn of the century antebellum avarice.
