Outstanding. A film that I had no real urgency to watch, but one I could now easily view again. Subtle supporting cast performances, with an extraordinary turn from both Rush and Firth. A believable, moving and at times, humorous portrayal of an oddly, wonderful friendship. The historical points and references seamlessly mark the posts along the road to the finale, steadily building your relationship with the characters, to a warm and heartfelt ending. Excellent.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The King’s Speech* Quiet, Powerful, Brilliant The King’s Speech is one of those films that grabs you without shouting about it. It’s calm, human, and surprisingly funny in places. Colin Firth nails the role, you feel every bit of frustration, fear, and pressure he’s under. Geoffrey Rush is the perfect balance to him, like the mate who tells you the truth but still has your back. The film shows the struggle behind the title, the man behind the crown, and the effort it takes to overcome something most people don’t even think about. It’s emotional without being soppy, inspiring without feeling like a lecture, and shot in a way that makes everything feel real and lived in. It’s one of those rare films that leaves you quiet for a moment after it ends. Proper quality. Quietly powerful. And honestly, way better than most “royal” films ever made.
