The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 Ratings & Reviews
- Pringul28 augustus 2025The jay is being mocked, we must catch on fire so we are able to stop the great hunger that is upon us. A new game must be played.
- munk88823 maart 2026Slower than the first 2, but I still enjoyed it. I think these films are a decent screen adaptation of the books.
- Leon17 augustus 2025Holy shit this was so good, and what they did with Peeta’s character? GENIUS
- konkydong23 december 2025watching this series for the first time, third movie and it's truly excellent easily the best by far, you can tell the budget is bigger and the cast is outstanding
- johnmgrover22 februari 2026Great continuing part of the Hunger Games story. Had the whole family gripped. Looking forward to part 2.
- mr_chumbles14 maart 2026Worth a watch. Good continuance of the story.
- Hakihiko11 oktober 2025A Visually Polished but Uneven Installment "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1" shifts the franchise toward a more political and introspective tone, exploring the consequences of rebellion and the psychological toll on its characters. Director Francis Lawrence delivers strong visuals, capturing the oppressive atmosphere of war-torn Panem with sharp cinematography, meticulous production design, and a tense, immersive score. Jennifer Lawrence remains compelling as Katniss Everdeen, portraying the conflict between her personal struggles and the weight of becoming a symbol of resistance. The supporting cast, including Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth, continues to provide solid performances, though some secondary characters receive limited development. While the film succeeds in building tension and expanding the world of Panem, its pacing is uneven. Extended sequences focused on political maneuvering and propaganda occasionally slow the narrative, making the story feel fragmented. The lack of major action sequences compared to previous installments may leave some viewers feeling underwhelmed. In conclusion, "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1" is a polished and thought-provoking entry in the series that emphasizes character and political intrigue over spectacle. While it succeeds visually and thematically, its pacing and muted action prevent it from fully capturing the excitement of earlier films, resulting in a somewhat uneven but still engaging experience.
- mickerdoo9 augustus 2025Like the building of the resistance and the action involved with that. I'm just over Peeta. He's not more important than the ultimate goal.
- Steven Schwalger9 maart 2026First of all did I enjoy the movie? Yes I did. Secondly Can someone whistle that doesnt have a tounge (even when using his fingers)? answer is: Not as well as old mate mute camera man can. Thirdly, I was slightly disapointed that there was infact no hunger games in this one (Don't get me wrong I knew there wasnt going to be a hunger games like the first 2 movies). I had hoped there was going to be some sort of Districs vs Capital winner takes all hunger games fingers crossed thats what happens in part 2 (I wont hold my breath). Last thoughts on the movie. Its good but its not great. A very flawed movie adaptaion of a book where the core ideas were taken from another movie adaptation of a book.
- runinhot2 februari 2026She's back angrier than ever. Ready to unleash arrows of fury into her enemies to save the districts.
- SAID MTS30 januari 2026While it suffers slightly from "Part 1 Syndrome" (feeling like a very long prologue to a final battle), it is the most intelligent entry in the series. It spends time on the psychological toll of trauma and the messy morality of both sides of a civil war.
- Nathan Magreta9 januari 2026It has it's flaws, but this is still an epic film that sets up an even bigger finale with strong action and performances.
- LalienX8 december 2025Definitely a set up movie
- seanmcconnell45130 november 2025Dedicated To Philip Seymour Hoffman July 23, 1967- February 2, 2014
- joshuacottle3019 oktober 2025I enjoy it, but I enjoyed the previous 2 a little more than this one. Hoping that part 2 is great and will send this franchise off on a high note 🤞
