Roman Barnes is an aging gang banger, a member of The Feathermen, who becomes homeless as a result of his gambling addiction. His years on the streets has him experience crime from a different perspective and he is placed in positions to solve crime versus his old habit of committing them. To help soothe the lost of his wife and daughter, Roman becomes friendly with a young girl whose mother is suspicious of him. The Featherman tells the story of Roman's journey to redemption as well as the untold stories of the homeless and those with whom they impact (ie-family, law enforcement, politicians and shelter personnel, etc)". Based on the novel Among Pigeons.
