The Fantastic Four: First Steps

The Fantastic Four: First Steps Rezensionen & Wertungen
- ApocMora15. April 2026Sue Storm was more a villain than any other character in the movie. So inept and hateful that it ruined the entire film for me. Otherwise I could see myself enjoying the retro-futuristic vibes, campy humor, Watchmen like balance between humor and darkness, and the struggle of the other characters. But no, she causes harm both physical, emotional, and reputational to all those around her, and none of that ever gets addressed and she gets off scott free. I will not be watching this again, and nearly regret having seen it because of how poorly they designed her character and wasted the skill level of the actress portraying her. Seriously...character growth and a redemption arc would have been just fine.
- chafe13. April 2026Fast and furious, but just the family part 🙏
- MrTrivet10. April 2026The Fantastic Four: First Steps comes at a moment when my renewed interest in superhero cinema clashes with the uneven quality of Marvel Studios productions. This time, however, the whole thing lands quite solidly - perhaps with a slightly inflated rating, mainly because the titular quartet genuinely works well together on screen. The film does not hold back when it comes to portraying the gargantuan scale of Galactus. What stands out the most, though, is its retrofuturistic aesthetic inspired by classic comics - from technology and costumes to the manner of speech and the way this world operates. At the same time, I had the impression that the story is told in a more “headline-driven” way, as if we were seeing newspaper clippings of key events without the full background and smaller details that usually build emotional depth. Nevertheless, it remains a good sign for the future and an enjoyable, solid episode of the Marvel soap opera.
- gibbens6. April 2026It had so much potential but ultimately it was ruined. There is weird pacing, the story seems to skip over points that really need clarity - like, why go into space minutes away from labor? I mean, if you are that pregnant you stay home... right? The baby thing was really weird... really really weird.
- RipLinesMan12. Mai 2025Event Horizon (1997) walked so Fantastic Four: First Steps could roller-skate through space in matching blue fits, bro. This ain’t horror-core like the OG space nightmare, but it’s got that same “yo, we prob shouldn’t be out here” energy. Pedro Pascal gives Mr. Fantastic that calm-before-the-wormhole vibe, like Sam Neill before he ripped his eyes out, except this dude’s more stretchy than sketchy. Vanessa Kirby crushes it as Sue Storm, serious face and secret pain, kinda like if the Event Horizon ship had feelings. Julia Garner as Silver Surfer gives off straight-up “I’ve seen death and vibes” energy, just floatin around like she’s heard the screams from the other dimension. The 1960s retro-future aesthetic is fire — way brighter than Event Horizon's blood-slick halls, but still got that cold edge under the glow. It’s not as deep or twisted, but this thing’s got style, stress, and some emotional breakdowns between cosmic punches. Its not a full trip to hell, but def a weird cruise through space with emotional baggage and rock monsters.
- Mazdabater24. September 2025I'm not sure how a movie featuring galactus was so boring
- Ty Leet23. Juli 2025The best part of this movie was the surfing and I’m not even joking.
- russrev1ews24. Juli 2025All of my FF cinematic wounds are healed as this movie was truly fantastic (pun 1000% intended)! The MCU might be back guys? 🤯
- vilhem3. April 2026Watched to understand why they will be in Doomsday. Now I understand, they need characters to kill off.
- Joel24. Juli 2025Probably the most visually stunning MCU film to date, cast is great, and a few 10/10 sequences. Everything in space is peak. But this is a very uneven film. Last hour is noticeably weaker than the first, and I don’t think the ending was all that satisfying. And while I mentioned the cast being great, I think some characters (cough cough the thing) have very little to do.
- brown_783. April 2026Best Fantastic 4 movie
- Oʂɯαʅԃσ Rσყҽƚƚ29. Juli 2025The Fantastic Four: First Steps doesn't just reboot a legacy - it rewires it with care, clarity, and cinematic control. From its very first frames, the film announces a shift in tone: retro aesthetics lend a nostalgic yet distinct visual palette, while the story grounds itself not in multiversal noise, but in human decisions and scientific curiosity. This is a Marvel film that respects both the super and the human.
- revgg22. März 2026Not a bad first entry for the first family. The writers struggled to make me really care much for each of them individually, but I could tell they cared about each other, so that's better than nothing. Can't decide if Galactus is too small... I feel like he is Celestial level big, but I could be conflating them.. Entertaining watch. Nice to see Sue Storm get her power level correct right off the bat... But again Galactus feels small as a result.
- Skittlesx15. März 2026The new Fantastic Four had some really cool elements. I liked the cosmic setup, especially when Galactus enters the picture and the twist involving Sue’s baby. Getting more of Silver Surfer’s background was another highlight for me. The ending actually worked quite well—the way they trapped Galactus and used their abilities was a cool payoff. But I have to admit, some parts didn’t fully land for me—like the heroes’ dynamic. I get they’ve been protecting Earth for a while, but I didn’t fully feel that weight. Still, overall, it’s not a bad movie—it had its moments, even if some didn’t resonate as much for me.
