Diretto da Robert RodriguezSiamo all'Herrington High (situato nel mezzo dell'Ohio) nel quale gli insegnanti ed il personale vengono posseduti da parassiti. Gli insegnanti iniziano quindi a infettare gli studenti con l'organismo. Un gruppetto di studenti capisce la situazione e resiste. Tra questi abbiamo: Zeke Tyler (Josh Hartnett), un genio solitario che ripete il suo ultimo anno, i cui genitori sono sempre in viaggio, che vende una droga simile alla cocaina ai suoi compagni di corso; Stan Rosado (Shawn Hatosy), un burlone che decide all'ultimo anno di uscire dalla squadra di football per incentrarsi sullo studio; la fidanzata di Stan, Delilah Profit (Jordana Brewster), una ragazza popolare e vendicativa che è l'editor-in-chief della testata studentesca; Casey Connor (Elijah Wood), un disadattato picchiato costantemente dagli studenti con un debole per Delilah ed è un abile fotografo per il giornale studentesco.

- Richard8 febbraio 2026I first saw The Faculty back in the day and it instantly stood out as one of those late 90s sci‑fi horror gems that blended teen drama with alien paranoia. It had that unmistakable vibe of the era, sharp dialogue, a stylish soundtrack and a cast full of rising stars. And of course, Famke Janssen was a highlight. Seeing her in that role added a cool mix of elegance and vulnerability, especially as her character gets pulled into the chaos. The movie played with classic “body snatcher” themes but wrapped them in a high school setting that made everything feel more intense and fun. It was the kind of film that didn’t pretend to be anything other than what it was: a slick, entertaining creature feature with attitude. Watching it back then felt like discovering a cult classic in the making.

- Daniel Taylor28 dicembre 2025Peak late 90’s teen horror with attitude. Creepy, funny, and stacked with a great cast before they were famous. The “something is wrong at this school” vibe still works, the soundtrack slaps, and the nostalgia hits hard. Comfort horror that’s endlessly rewatchable.
- carter288216 dicembre 2025The Faculty is an absolute blast and an absolute horror classic!! The movie has such an intriguing premise that doesn’t fail to surprise you. The cast is great and so much fun to be around, they all have different personalities that works so well since the film is about a high school. I can admit that the CGI and visual effects aren’t all that great. But the twist at the end was actually pretty shocking and really worked!! So overall an absolute blast of a film and in my eyes a horror classic!!!
- viktorsmi28 novembre 2025A spin on the Invasion of the Body Snatchers, reimagined through the 1990s counter culture lens. A time capsule of the decade it was made in, and wonderful one at that. An interesting look at early careers of many of the Gen X stars, as well as a corner stone of Rodriguez's career. Practical effects definitely allow this movie to stand out after all this time.

I hope when anyone thinks of this era, The Faculty comes to mind. It's a great flick, easily one of the most memorable from the 90s.
