Let's talk about that ending

Don't get me wrong, I loved the movie but that ending... Did she steal the husband from the other timeline? Because the husband was the one that saved her in the past, does that mean that her other self dies? It def has some plot holes. How can that be a good ending?

I thought they got back about 20 minutes before the time ripple happened. Then mom used the phone to get the message to other people so they could get out before the timewarp. But any movie with time travel has no rules anyway, the answer is just more time travel -- which is fine for me

Yes she lost her husband to the dinosaur and when they escaped she used the little bit of time she had to bring the other timeline's husband to her and told everyone in town and saved them all, expect for alternate self and kids. Thats why at the end there are two Jeannette's, one with her family and the other is the one who survived what happened.

Well, since we are here. So no husband in the future : the wife for sure dies. Then let's say the kids goes to the house with the time bubble, there's also no old lady with a shotgun to save them from the stairs climbing gators.

That's true but also, time travel is a complicated thing. They could have made totally different choices since the dad wouldn't be there and get themselves in totally different situations all together possibly making it alive

Yeah she basically sent her now-present self with her now-present kids to dino-land, to snatch the now-present hubby for herself, since past-present hubby is only 1.5torso of what he used to be. So there is a version where its only her and the kids in dino land, probably dead after day one though

I don't think it's entirely a good ending I think it's meant to be kind of too shiny on the surface and leave us with the underlying knowledge that things are wrong now that's why the very last thing they show you is that there's two of the girl they saved to remind you that the timeline is very broken now and they essentially doubled themselves with no knowledge of what happened to their doubles

What’s going to be a big mess if the timeline b family without Greg (Ewan) goes through the same wormhole and winds up in the same timeline as the original family. The daughter of the other family that was killed, Jeannette was taken in by the Platt’s also has a double in the altered timeline as was shown when they came all together at the bbq at the end.
