Where to Watch The End of Oak Street
- It blends spectacle with emotion, transforming an extraordinary survival situation into a story about human connection. David Robert Mitchell’s direction creates a haunting, atmospheric mood, while keeping human relationships—and the need to stand together in the face of the unexpected—at the heart of the film. Not everything is original, yet the movie successfully combines wonder, tension, and romantic sensibility without sacrificing the sense of adventure.
- good little movie. been a while since Bad Robot did something well. cast was great, story was fun, besides the obvious stupid decisions by the characters. had a nice twiste at the end. one question remains: did they steal the husband from their alternative timeline family? oh well, don't go too deep into time travel theories. it was a happy ending not a selfish one. was it?
- Starts off bad with your typical bored house wife blaming her husband for all her faults and ready to destroy her family to chase her dreams out of boredom. Fortunately it does get better when the dinosaurs arrive. Action is not bad and the CGI is decent. Somewhat entertaining if you can get past the first 15 to 18 minutes when the story really starts.
- I think that, similar to Disclosure Day which came out this year, the End of Oak Street suffers once again from very questionable writting, plot points and weird pacing. It makes me wonder if it's me getting out of touch or if these older amazing writters are just losing it. Visually this movie was fantastic and I loved the dinosaur. I think this is 100% where that movie shines. But the characters act so erratically and make such abriterary stupid decisions. I'm glad the movie was 1h30 minutes because I am not sure I could have taken much more of them. And that ending. No spoiler here, but how is that ok?! A meh overall movie, that got me more frustrated than anything. Pretty cool dinosaurs tho!
