With her best years behind her, Suzanne has given up on everything she holds dear and is trying to sell her cottage. Luckily, Polly sees this opportunity to make a profit and with some aggressive persuasion she buys the cottage from Suzanne, but doesn't realize the severity of the evil that dwells within. Meanwhile, Jack is having a romantic night out with his new fiancé until his past catches up with him and she storms off. With the cottage in new ownership Polly and her mother Eliza call a popular paranormal podcast show and invite the hosts Dr. Young, Kendra, and Heidi to spend the weekend to debunk the haunted claims. Passing by a devastating car accident the podcast crew help a stranded woman, Lily who's looking for her missing cousin Lou. Jack offers his assistance as what any good officer does and escorts them all to the cottage.
