The Descent Ratings & Reviews
- DJOctober 28, 2024A “modern” classic. The Descent is horror perfection. It’s claustrophobic, it’s scary, you feel for the actresses and they do a great job immersing you in the experience. Director Neil Marshall did amazing work with this film.
- D1nonlytemocMarch 7, 2025ABSOLUTE CINEMA
- Jordan JonesMay 3, 2026The Descent - is one of the all time greatest 🇬🇧 British horror movies and is personally one of my favourites also!!! What I really loved about The Descent is that it really plays and leans into that fear of small spaces and chlostraphobia very effectively. And what makes it even more frightening & impactful is the fact that there in total darkness. And on top of that they've got these Gollum like creatures that live down there, that are ready to rip apart the group of friends that are stuck down there...imagine this your in very tight spaces with the chances of the cave; that your stuck in collapsing onto you and crushing & killing you. Also your in total darkness and you've got vicious cannibal creatures that want to eat and kill you; it cannot possibly get more worse than that omg. And at the heart of it there's a very tragic story; for one of the characters and has a friend that hasn't done a very nice thing to her.
- cjru76April 20, 2026Excellent movie!
- ghost0neMay 16, 2025Maybe... don't go into a cave that isn't on any maps. Just a thought.

- godzilladadJanuary 20, 2026Love this series! Wish they would of made a third installment, but part 2 ends great
- Ty LeetApril 13, 2026I will not be going in any caves, thank you.
- Christopher ParkNovember 11, 2024This probably teh very bestr creature feature, and actually one of the best horror movies of all time! What a ride! And these characters?! I just love it!
- siluskitt185April 3, 2026Couldn't have been better, yes blood looked fake, but none of that matters when the story line is so god damn good, I personally think this is my favorite horror movie I've EVER watched, of you have ever played the video game called the Forest, it reminds me of this, I feel like if this was made around this time, it wouldn't have been nearly as good
- Sandy KaczmarekJanuary 31, 2026Will not recommend
- Jehanzeb RaeesDecember 19, 2024My all-time favourite
- Seamys-WorldDecember 26, 2025Pretty good movie. The claustrophobia probably gave me more fear at the beginning than the latter part although the end was a sneaky bit of stuff. Generally not a big horror fan anymore due to the lack of originality, but this was OK.
- Oʂɯαʅԃσ RσყҽƚƚDecember 26, 2025Focusing on the fear of claustrophobia with the simple dread of the unknown, The Descent puts likable characters in frightening situations. As a horror fanatic, this film floats at the top of my list of best scary films.
