- neuroparadox5d agoWhy do movies think that pulling a fire alarm either turns off the lights or turns on the sprinklers?! Tell me! 🙏💦🔥 Trigger warning: Bees get Sonny Corleone'd 🐝☠️
- as4571July 21, 2025Good movie lots of action
- M08YJuly 17, 2025Genuinely one of the better Statham action movies. Beekeeper is a very simple revenge action movie that is very well paced and doesnt get bogged down trying to be anything else. I found myself genuinely entertained for the entire runtime. BUT What on earth was Statham's accent? Never before have I heard anything quite like it, For the future, please do us all a favour and just stick to the usual Jason Staham British accent. The 4K bluray looked and sounded fine, nothing to note.
- thomasrogers753July 16, 2025I remember this coming out in theaters and I got a poster for it even though I never even saw it in theaters I will not make that mistake on the second one
- Chris CurtisJuly 5, 2025This is perhaps the most ridiculous plot premise of any Jason Statham movie (and that's saying a lot!), but he and David Ayer still manage to turn in quite an entertaining action film. It's classic Statham, with lots of highly choreographed fight scenes and plenty of witty rejoinders. The plot exists solely to move things from one action piece to another, so don't come into this thinking you'll get more than that. If what you're after is just a mindless (Jason Statham) action film, though, then this will deliver for you.
- James WaddellJuly 4, 2025Jason Statham, thank you. Finally a good action flick with a totally awesome concept. We really need Beekeepers today in the real world. Watch this and imagine if this is how things were or could be.
- Kevin WardJuly 2, 2025Olympus Has Pollen If you like bee puns, Honey, have I got the action flick for you. But bee warned. This is a stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, movie. If you go in with the right mind set, there is a lot of fun to be had. First, it opens with an artsy opening credits sequence featuring close ups of beehives, hexagonal shapes and architecture, and finished with a shot of a hive box in the shape of an American flag. 🤌🏼 Jason Statham plays Adam Clay, a literal beekeeper renting some land and space from Eloise (Phylicia Rashād). But when scammers dupe Eloise out of millions and we unfortunately have to say “bye Phylicia,” Clay sets out on a revenge tour to take down the people responsible. It is here we learn that there is a secret agency of “beekeepers” that operates outside of any government purview, with the sole duty of maintaining order when the system fails us….or something. There is a very elaborate metaphor to bees and beehives that everyone seemingly takes very seriously—even those who only just discovered this secret life of “beekeepers.” It’s not specifically stated as to whether or not all “beekeepers” are also literal beekeepers, if Clay just decided to retire as beekeeper because he got really lost in the metaphor, or if it was just a massive coincidence that he also happens to be a literal beekeeper. At some point, I realized that there are zero good answers to any of these questions that surfaced in my head. And honestly, in not answering these questions, the movie is all the better for it. Most of my audience erupted in laughter every time bee factoids were dropped and the bee metaphor is invoked. My wife leaned over several times to say, “I can’t tell if that was supposed to be funny.” I don’t want to be a buzzkill, so I’m going to give the filmmakers the benefit of the doubt and assume that they knew exactly what they were doing. In either case, the bee framework is absolutely ridiculous. What really works, though, is the action. Jason Statham delivers as an incredibly solid action star. David Ayer’s direction serves up some extremely satisfying fight sequences with well choreographed moves, that are comprehensibly composed and edited. We even get a few moments of over-the-top blood and gore, which appeals to my particular blood lust. More than that, the action is varied enough to not feel too one note. Clay can battle baddies 1-on-10 and dispatch them. There’s also a 1-v-1, confrontation later in the film that is more of a battle of brute strength. All of the action is captured exceptionally well and is easily the best part of the movie. I also want to mention Josh Hutcherson. He’s the main force of evil here. His character introduction is hilarious, but he gets to have quite a bit of fun throughout as a trust fund baby turned CEO with zero moral compass. I’ve droned on way too long, and I haven’t even mentioned Emmy Raver-Lampman, who plays Eloise’s bereft daughter/detective; Jeremy Irons, who plays a former CIA director turned head of security for Hutcherson’s outfit. And there’s also a small - Minnie Driver cameo. I actually have lots more to say about this film, I think. For now, if you just prepare yourself to go into a very, very, very, dumb movie, then I think you might have a good time. Highly recommend seeing with a packed crowd, if you can. I cannot imagine a world where this dialogue and this ridiculous concept would play very well if you’re watching it by yourself on your phone at home. Bring on London Has Pollen
- Kit LazerMarch 26, 2025Gotta protect the hive.
- DaveJune 27, 2025I held off on watching this because I thought it was a cash grab featuring an old 90s action star to draw in a quick buck. It was definitely still that but it had a mostly good story. I liked the action scenes, the over all story was solid and fun to watch, it had some cheesy lines and moments much like the movies our boy Jason starred in over the years. Its not ground breaking or even a new concept but I enjoyed it and will watch it again in a few years.
- JorickJune 8, 2025Good movie, well he didnt get a scratch first hour.
- zayahaMay 12, 2025The Beekeeper is the best of all the rest
- jwalkinFebruary 24, 2025I'm tha beekeeper... just your average fella... I'm retired ex-MILITRY... but don't mind dat, I just keep mah bees 'n stay outta trouble. I hope I can stay an average fella, and not be antagonised by a villain with no clear motive other than bein' evil, causing me to show off me special forces training by killin' private security guards just tryna earn an honest days' pence. But a beekeeper must do what a beekeeper does best... protect the hive.
- Hilton HeslopApril 25, 2025Awesome one … 💪🏽🚀
- tellumApril 24, 2025Hilariously over the top, fun action, and easily hateable villains. If you or someone you know has ever been victim to cyberscams, this movie is pure fan service. A true standout in the “retired killing machine wants to live a normal life BUT SOMETHING BAD HAPPENS TO SOMEONE HE LOVES” genre.
- jackmeatApril 21, 2025My quick rating - 6.7/10. This flick buzzed (I had to) onto the screen with Jason Statham leading the charge in a gripping tale of vengeance and intrigue. Statham's character is immediately captivating, drawing you into his world with a compelling blend of charisma and determination. As the story unfolds, we're introduced to a man whose quest for vengeance takes on monumental proportions when his past as a former operative of the clandestine organization known as Beekeepers is revealed. This revelation propels the narrative to new heights, as national stakes come into play and the true extent of the Beekeepers' power is laid bare. Statham shines in his role, bringing depth and intensity to his character as he navigates a world filled with danger and I'll admit I wasn't expecting much more than an everyday action vehicle out of this flick. His motivation is clear and relatable, driving the action forward with a sense of urgency that keeps you rooting for his every move. The film's pacing is relentless, with each twist and turn propelling the story forward at breakneck speed. From heart-pounding action sequences to moments of quiet introspection, it surprisingly delivers a rollercoaster ride that never lets up. One of the highlights for me was its ability to balance high-octane action with thought-provoking themes. As the protagonist delves deeper into the shadowy world of the Beekeepers, questions of loyalty, morality, and the nature of power come to the forefront, adding layers of complexity to an already engaging narrative. Overall it is a thrilling ride from start to finish, anchored by a standout performance from Statham proving he still has the chops to headline an action flick. Trust that I was just as surprised by this one as I think you will be if you are an action movie fan and check this one out.
