Málokteří hrdinové mají tak špatnou pověst jako Vlk, Had, Tarantule, Piraňa a Žralok. Tihle psanci se tak dlouho hledali, až se našli a dali dohromady tým, pro který je spáchání dokonalého zločinu stejná brnkačka jako vyrazit si v neděli odpoledne na zmrzlinu. Za léta strávená loupežemi všeho druhu získali dojem, že jsou nepolapitelní, jenže i pro ně nakonec bude platit, že se tak dlouho chodí do sejfu pro diamanty, až se zámek zacvakne. Konkrétně máme na mysli zámek na policejní cele. I v téhle prekérní situaci má však pětice zlounů štěstí v neštěstí. Do života jim vstoupí profesor Marmaláda (morče a především klaďas tělem a duší), který má ambiciózní plán – převychovat je na dobráky.

Directed by Pierre Perifel, it’s a vibrant mix of classic heist tropes, sharp humor, and modern animation flair that makes for an undeniably entertaining ride. Visually, the film is outstanding. Its stylized, painterly animation stands out from the crowd, giving the action a unique rhythm and the characters real personality. The chase sequences are especially well-executed — dynamic, fluid, and filled with a kinetic sense of fun that keeps the film’s momentum high. The voice cast, led by Sam Rockwell as the effortlessly cool Mr. Wolf, brings charisma and charm to the ensemble. The chemistry among the main crew — a band of reformed (or trying-to-be-reformed) villains — adds to the film’s playful tone. Their banter feels organic, and the humor lands for both kids and adults without ever feeling forced. That said, "The Bad Guys" doesn’t entirely escape its genre’s predictability. The story follows a familiar redemption arc, and while it’s well-executed, it doesn’t dig very deep emotionally. Some secondary characters are underused, and a few moral lessons are laid on a bit thick, slightly dampening the film’s otherwise effortless cool.
