Directed by Pierre Perifel, it’s a vibrant mix of classic heist tropes, sharp humor, and modern animation flair that makes for an undeniably entertaining ride. Visually, the film is outstanding. Its stylized, painterly animation stands out from the crowd, giving the action a unique rhythm and the characters real personality. The chase sequences are especially well-executed — dynamic, fluid, and filled with a kinetic sense of fun that keeps the film’s momentum high. The voice cast, led by Sam Rockwell as the effortlessly cool Mr. Wolf, brings charisma and charm to the ensemble. The chemistry among the main crew — a band of reformed (or trying-to-be-reformed) villains — adds to the film’s playful tone. Their banter feels organic, and the humor lands for both kids and adults without ever feeling forced. That said, "The Bad Guys" doesn’t entirely escape its genre’s predictability.
