Where to Watch The Aviator's Wife
- da16 December 2025The Aviator’s Wife once again showcases Rohmer's meticulous approach to screenwriting, which never fails to amaze me! I was particularly moved by the moment when Anne confides in Francois in the second last scene. I love how he handles the characters, bring out a piece of us, of our human nature, of our most nuanced feelings and emotions to the camera, in a blunt and bold way. The camera remains non-judgmental, showing a world seemingly free of rules and boundaries. The visual language is restrained and that is precisely why I love his work. Though, I was disappointed by the ending.
