Even cats have DNA, White cat hair on the first two victims and a possible suspect in the childcare worker, The first police department handling the first two victims doesn't mention DNA or ask the community for a white male who owns a white cat. They could have had leads, It's just sloppy. Then the second police department who is handling the 3rd victim plants DNA of a white cat because they are obviously under pressure to solve the case. The whole letting a police officer who has been diagnosed and hospitalised with schitzophrenia and is on medication to control it have access to a service weapon thing??? Yeah, plausible?

It was beautifully shot, I liked how it was lit, it had really good tension & atmosphere, but there was something missing for me. Also there are a lot of serial killer movies, out there that have done & executed there plots, themes & twists a lot better than this over the years. I liked "The Alphabet Killer" but I didn't love it. Overall it is worth a one time watch at least!! And I wouldn't discourage anyone not to give it a shot.

Megan Paige is een extreem gedreven politieagente in de stad Rochester. Haar verloofde Kenneth werkt bij hetzelfde korps. De twee krijgen te maken met een gruwelijke zaak waarbij een 10-jarig meisje is verkracht en vermoord. Het blijkt om een seriemoordenaar te gaan en Megan raakt volledig geobsedeerd door de zaak. Zo erg dat ze waanbeelden krijgt, schizofreen wordt, haar relatie verbreekt en opgenomen wordt in een inrichting. Twee jaar later vindt er echter een gelijkaardige moord plaats en de inmiddels redelijk opgeknapte Megan zal een rol gaan vervullen.
