Star Trek: Section 31 Ratings & Reviews
- Roger Bennett5d agoWhat a waste of time What has happened with Star Trek
- Conner OgdenJanuary 24, 2025Absolute trash. Never should have been made.
- Joseph7d agoWorst Star Trek movie I have ever seen.
- neuroparadoxJuly 24, 2025Found myself rooting for the doomsday device to win. That being said....I think there is a a Universe where this could have worked, but it sure af isn't Star Trek's. I'm thinking maybe if Luc Besson reworked the script (a lot) it could have functioned as a redemption sequel to Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. 🤷♂️ And the constant jokes in this 🤦 holy hell, reminds me of that scene in Interstellar: "What's your humor setting TARS?" "100%" "Let's go ahead and bring that down to 75, please." That's all I've got to say about it, I'm sure Trekkies are gonna tear this a new wormhole. 🥁🥁
- SlayerSantiagoJanuary 25, 2025After watching Section 31 - I can safely say that I sincerely hope Alex Kurtzman experiences a transporter accident.
- DadJuly 24, 2025Unless you're a Trekie, don't bother. I am so I watched it anyway. I also love Michelle Yeoh
- Darf NaderJuly 16, 2025It's a Star Trek film that also tries to incorporate Ocean's Eleven, Suicide Squad, and possibly Salo. The Kurtzman treatment implies inevitable failure, but this delivers it within the first 10 minutes. It is efficient!
- clarosJune 1, 2025The worst film of the Star Trek saga
- Darren WebsterMay 14, 2025This, dear reader, is NOT Star Trek what so ever. once againe someone losing the plot and disrespecting the source, though, to be fair, the source was Discovery which also ignored the source and lost the plot. Here's the thing: if this wasn't a Star Trek film, this would have been an okay Sci-fi romp. It had a good cast of talented actors, but trying to get viewers by slapping the Star Trek brand on it when it doesn't fit the mold of what Star Trek is known for is just a terribad idea. Hopefully this is the last piece of garbage from the Discovery universe of Star Trek that we'll have to see so the franchise can get back on track with what Star Trek fans expect.
- Toby MacdonnellApril 28, 2025Terrible film, not just a terrible Star Trek film. Extremely disapointing and unnecessary when a continuation of the Kelvin timeline would be far better received. Shame on you paramount, time from my life I can't get back.
- Kɱҽƚȥ TԋҽαƚҽɾApril 21, 2025Started off bad, got better, then fell short. It was almost OK, the good guy bad guy roles just weren't believable, they tried to pack a series worth of relationships into an hour and a half. Characters go from bad-guy to your friend in too short of a timespan. Some of the fight scenes were made blurry and had the camera fast moving to hide the lack of detail. Parts felt low budget. I wanted this to be good, section 31 had promise in the Star Trek series, but they burnt that bridge after this movie. 😔
- Justin VanderhooftMarch 23, 2025Incoherent garbage
- Moshe EngelbergMarch 2, 2025Not A real Star Trek movie. In my personal opinion, Looks like Paramount wants to copy the same STAR WARS / MARVEL movies. creating for each interesting more / less "Hero" a dedicated movie. glad not seeing this movie in the Theater.
- Just_JohnnyJanuary 25, 2025Paramount Exec: "Let's make a wacky action comedy about a genocidal maniac. It'll be fun for the whole family!"
- capnamerJanuary 25, 2025This wasn't made for Star Trek fans, that much is certain. Watching ten minutes of this before mercifully shutting it off makes me question whether I have more patience than I thought, or if I'm just incredibly gullible. I desperately waited for it to improve, but it only spiraled downwards. One eccentric character can add depth to a story, but a cast entirely composed of them is simply distracting and overwhelming. Many critics have echoed the sentiment that the show felt like a cheap imitation of other, better spy thrillers, lacking the nuance and philosophical depth that Star Trek is known for. The writing was particularly lambasted, described as "cliched," "predictable," and "insulting to the intelligence of the audience." Section 31 had the potential to be a compelling exploration of the darker side of the Federation, but it ultimately squandered that opportunity with its shallow characters, generic plotlines, and a complete disregard for the core values that have always defined Star Trek.
