Star Trek: First Contact Ratings & Reviews
- Mister ArnMay 16, 2025I had to watch this film for "First Contact Day." The fact that I know it's "First Contact Day" reveals my Star Trek bias, and of course, I enjoyed it. What makes this film special is that they brought the pacing and chemistry from the TV show.
- TotemSP2March 3, 2025There are good Star Trek movies, there are bad Star Trek movies. Then there's First Contact, the first Star Trek movie that doesn't fuck around.
- SlayerSantiagoMay 3, 2025Star Trek: First Contact is a standout sci-fi adventure that delivers on every front — action, emotion, and classic Trek spirit. Patrick Stewart shines as Captain Picard in a gripping battle against the Borg, with sharp direction and visual effects that still hold up today. Paramount started production just 7 months before the planned release date — and still pulled off one of the best Star Trek films ever. Impressive? Absolutely.
- Brandon TahedlApril 15, 2025I was 10 when this originally came out, didn’t get to see it in the theater, but I did see it a year or maybe 2 later. I loved the action, love the new ship and seeing the crew. Fast-forward to now, first time I’ve rewatched in several years. First thing I noticed was the soundtrack really knocked it out of the park, and one can really pickup on the bonds & fellowship the crew developed from TNG & Generations. Going from order of TNG -> Generations -> First Contact really made me see Jean-Luc’s character in a different light, the internal turmoil over the Borg. Some of the things that I felt differently about now as an adult versus as a child when I saw it originally, was the Dixon Hill holograph deck made me smile thinking of how our dear captain would use that series to relax, was now the place where he felt he was in control enough to stop some Borg. As a big fan of present day space achievements, when he showed Earth from the first time out of the window, its so easy to imagine how that could’ve felt to be in Lily’s shoes. This is one of my favorites, seeing the dream team in their peak performance and facing the Federations most true opponent that cannot be reasoned with all while entangling concepts that we can still feel today.
- Brad.Plex.October 13, 2024The best of the 4 TNG movies. Here, the Borg are fully realized as Star Trek's most iconic villains while Alice Krige is perfectly cast as the Borg Queen. This is the adventure TNG fans dreamed of when it was announced they were headed to the big screen.
