"okay. c-can we hot wire the car?" "i don't even know how to DRIVE a car." "WHAT?!?!" "WELL WHY DID YOU WANT THE KEYS???" "CAUSE I'M COOL." okay i genuinely had no idea that these guys just made like,,, a million movies like this, but i love that so much. i think it's important to give all horror schlock a fair chance because things like this are definitely made with a clear appreciation for the genre they're contributing to. not only is this a love letter to cheesy Man In A Suit horror films of the past (the Creature From The Black Lagoon influence is impossible to ignore), but it's also full of some solid jokes, awful (but delightful) gore, and a bunch of fun, original, beachy songs. and as always, bonus points for an animated opening credit sequence.
