- RicardoFebruary 4, 2026I have a lot of nostalgia for this movie, but it’s even dumber than the first one, it has less cheesy lines but the scenes and concepts are overall slightly stupider, and the cg doesn’t hold up at all; but it’s still a fun movie.

- Manuel FrangisApril 2, 2025I just watched Spider-Man 2, and I give it 5 out of 5 stars. This is hands down one of the best superhero movies ever made. It takes everything that worked in the first film and builds on it in every possible way. The action is better, the story is deeper, and the emotional weight hits hard. It is not just a great comic book movie. It is a great movie, period. Tobey Maguire returns as Peter Parker, and he absolutely nails the role. You feel the pressure he is under from every direction. He is trying to balance school, work, relationships, and being Spider-Man, and it is just falling apart. What makes this version of Peter so relatable is that he is not perfect. He is struggling, broke, tired, and constantly questioning if he is even doing the right thing. That vulnerability makes you care about him so much more. The emotional core of this movie is one of its strongest parts. Peter is not just battling villains. He is dealing with real-life problems. Rent, friendships, responsibility, heartbreak. It adds a layer of depth that makes everything else hit even harder. You get the sense that being a hero comes at a serious cost, and the movie is not afraid to slow down and show you that. Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus is one of the best comic book villains ever put on screen. He is not just evil for the sake of being evil. He has a real story, real pain, and real motivation. The movie takes its time to show you who he is before everything goes wrong, and that makes his transformation even more tragic. His fight scenes with Spider-Man are intense, creative, and just awesome to watch. Speaking of action, this movie absolutely delivers. The train fight alone is legendary. It is fast, brutal, and has real stakes. But what makes the action scenes work so well is that they are not just flashy. They always serve the story. Every punch, every chase, every web swing is connected to what Peter is going through emotionally. It all matters. The supporting cast is strong too. Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane gets more to do this time, and her relationship with Peter feels more complex. James Franco as Harry is diving deeper into his own arc, and you can see the tension building for what is coming next. J.K. Simmons once again steals every scene as J. Jonah Jameson. His timing, delivery, and facial expressions are just perfect. The music by Danny Elfman is epic and emotional. The visuals still hold up, and the direction by Sam Raimi gives the movie a unique tone that mixes heartfelt drama with comic book fun. It has style, but it also has soul. I give Spider-Man 2 5 out of 5 stars because it gets everything right. It is exciting, emotional, beautifully acted, and full of unforgettable moments that still hit as hard today as they did when it first came out. Overall Spider-Man 2 is not just a great sequel but one of the best superhero films ever made. It proves that you can have action and fun while still telling a meaningful story about responsibility, sacrifice, and what it means to be a hero. I loved every second of it
- Nathan MagretaJuly 23, 2025Spider-man 2 continues to smoothly connect all lore pieces, and does have some great parts, but overall, a decrease from the original.
