Space Truckers: Transporte Espacial Ratings & Reviews
- MrTrivet9 de febrero de 2026Space Truckers is a film that could have been a satisfying B‑movie, but it lacks the element that makes kitsch genuinely entertaining. The idea of space truckers transporting a suspicious cargo sounds intriguing, yet the execution is bland, the dialogue and pacing fall flat, and the humor misses the mark. Despite the presence of big names like Dennis Hopper and Charles Dance, the acting is hard to swallow, mostly due to the main duo, who have neither chemistry nor charisma. The special effects and robot designs simply look bad, and the set design fails to save the film from feeling like a chaotic, forced adventure. This is a movie that could have been fun through sheer exaggeration, but here nothing works - the film is simply shallow and tedious, even for fans of campy sci‑fi.
- Richard8 de agosto de 2025This movie feels like someone dared Stuart Gordon to make Convoy in space and he said “hold my beer.” Space Truckers is gloriously dumb, proudly campy and somehow still endearing. Dennis Hopper plays John Canyon, a washed-up space hauler who takes on a shady job to deliver mysterious cargo to Earth. That cargo? Killer robots. Because of course it is. The tone is all over the place part slapstick, part sci-fi horror, part accidental satire. Charles Dance steals the show as a half-mechanical pirate villain who chews scenery like it’s his last meal. And the fact that “Cotton Eye Joe” plays over the credits? Weirdly perfect. The effects are charmingly clunky, the dialogue is flatter than a Martian pancake and Hopper looks like he wandered in from a different movie entirely. But there’s a strange joy in watching it all unfold. Square pigs, space truck stops, riot cops clearing a hospital for a “presidential visit” it’s like someone mashed together Aliens, Red Dwarf and a late night infomercial. It drags in places, but if you’re folding laundry or just want something bizarre to fill the void, this one delivers, just not coherently.
- GrimeFiVideo10 de octubre de 2025This movie rocks. Awesome set design throughout. It's a fun ride from beginning to end for any sci-fi fan.
- jackmeat10 de octubre de 2025My quick rating - 5.5/10. Thought I would give a scifi shuffle a go tonight, and this one popped up. I haven't seen it and have no idea how long it has been floating around in the new releases. Seems the freebies like Tubi and Pluto might have this, or click the poster below. If you have been looking for that movie to check out Debi Mazar in her bra and panties throughout, then you have finally found it.
- Baloo Uriza16 de julio de 2025Just wade through the first hour of this one, just put it on as background when you're doing laundry or something. The payoff in the last 35 minutes is huge. Assuming you see it rerunning in a 2 hour timeslot. The whole thing is super hammy, but wraps around in a so-bad-it's-good, or maybe it's intentionally-bad way, similar to Fortress or Super Mario Bros. Accidental COMET rerun bonus: I got up when it went to commercial, so I did my business, got a snack, came back, and it was still on what turned out to be a 20 minute long infomercial they just stuffed in the middle. After my Plex box unfroze from trying to jump that far forward, it drops me back in on a scene without any context or warning, and I had to remember what movie I was watching. This movie is that forgettable while you're watching it on a DVR. The only way you could have made this movie memorable is if they paired Dennis Hopper with Christopher Walken instead of Charles Dance. Giving it a solid mid rating because I really don't know if I want to get it 3.5 or 1.5 stars. I'm really not sure if this tried to be good or if it was intentionally bad, because it's bad by 1996 standards!
