I just watched South Park: Joining the Panderverse, and I would give it a solid 3 out of 5 stars. This special delivers the usual South Park humor, taking on modern cultural debates with satire that does not hold back. While it has plenty of funny moments and some sharp commentary, it does not quite reach the level of some of the show’s best specials. The concept is interesting, and there are definitely parts that work well. The episode takes shots at Hollywood, corporate messaging, and how entertainment companies handle certain trends. The jokes come fast, and as always, South Park is not afraid to make fun of everyone involved. It does a good job of making its point without feeling like it is just repeating the same old jokes. The animation is exactly what you expect from South Park, keeping the same simple but effective style. The voice acting is on point, and the writing is solid. There are some great one liners and plenty of classic South Park moments that longtime fans will appreciate. The pacing is mostly good, though there are a few scenes that feel like they drag just a little too long. One of the things South Park does best is finding humor in real world issues while making sure the comedy comes first. This special definitely tries to do that, but at times, it feels like it is trying to take on too many topics at once. Some of the satire is sharp, but some of it feels a little predictable, especially if you have been keeping up with the show’s recent specials. The humor is hit or miss. There are some genuinely funny moments that had me laughing, but there are also a few jokes that feel like they do not land as well as they could have. Some of the references are a little too on the nose, making the jokes feel less creative than usual. The best parts of the episode are when it just lets the characters be themselves and interact naturally, rather than focusing too much on making a statement. The story itself is entertaining, but it is not as strong as some of South Park’s past specials. It does not have the same level of chaos or unpredictability that makes the best episodes so fun to watch. There are moments where it feels like it is setting up for something bigger, only for the joke to end too soon or not pay off as well as expected. That being said, there is still plenty to enjoy. If you like South Park’s style of humor, there is enough here to keep you entertained. The satire may not be as biting as in some of the older episodes, but it still manages to be relevant and funny. It is just not as groundbreaking or memorable as some of the show’s best work. This is not a bad episode by any means, but it is also not a standout. It has its moments, but it does not feel like one of South Park’s strongest efforts. It is a fun watch if you are already a fan of the show, but it is not one that I would rush to rewatch. Overall, South Park: Joining the Panderverse is a decent special that delivers some laughs and a few great moments, but it does not reach the same level as the best episodes. It is worth checking out if you enjoy the show’s humor, but it does not leave a lasting impression. I had fun watching it, but I was hoping for a little more.

Classic social commentary from SP. Some of it felt pretty accurate, some exaggerated. Wild that Kennedy voices herself.

Black lesbian Cartman expecting her save to cross universes is the most Cartman thing I can think of when it comes to the multiverse I'm not going to lie

I liked some of the other movies slightly better. Definitely still a great watch though for South park and comedy fans.
