- Kevin Ward20. januar 2026In one of the opening scenes some kids nail Berta, the housemaid’s slippers to the floor as a prank and she falls forward with a thud. And dumb me was like, aaaaaahhhhh, so that’s The Sound of Falling. I’m resigned to needing to rewatch this because I was sure I would like this more than I did. The style and structure (nonlinear vignettes that span generations of women on a particular farm) isn’t the easiest to track at first. I definitely think I’d benefit from a rewatch.
