Vanja and Dara, middle-aged women from different social strata, meet in the the hall of a hospital waiting room, waiting to be called to prepare to have abortions; this unexpected meeting starts many questions in their minds and make them reconsider their decision. SECOND STORY: The Road. In the Serbian countryside, a mother is taking her daughter to the doctor who lives alone in a wagon in which he performs illegal abortions. All through their journey the mother's traditional attitude against pregnancy before marriage collies with her daughter's youthful wish for the birth of new life through love. THIRD STORY: Water. Nada, in her late 20s, is in a prison cell remembering the tragic events that made her kill her husband. In the hospital, where she was taken by a police car, trying to abort his child, she met a person she didn't expect to meet.
