Following the benevolent King's disappearance, the Evil Queen dominated the once fair land with a cruel streak. Princess Snow White flees the castle when the Queen, in her jealousy over Snow White's inner beauty, tries to kill her. Deep into the dark woods, she stumbles upon seven magical dwarves and a young bandit named Jonathan. - Watch ManzMarch 30, 2025Musicals and fairy tales are not really my thing so I wasn't expecting to enjoy this at all. However, the songs were relatively good, the CGI was good, and the tale was easy to follow, so it was a nice relaxing watch. The dwarfs were funny and part of the emotion of the story - especially Dopey. This would be suitable for all ages as there's something for everyone. Sometimes it's nice to just sit back and enjoy a movie without ulterior motives or hidden messages, and this one did the job well.

Fans of Disney's animated classics do not like having the memory of their favorite childhood films tarnished by a poorly made remake of the same film. Always respect the source material.
- vangh1April 1, 2025I'm not a huge fan of the old, "classic" Snow White to begin with... This is a very average, forgettable, mostly soulless movie akin to most every Disney live action remake and I think most people's adverse reactions are steeped in their outside opinions of the performers and their political views, good or bad (and that's probably inevitable and not necessarily a bad thing, I definitely don't believe you can completely separate art from artist, and sometimes barely at all). It's silly to think it's *actually* a 1.5/10 movie as IMDB would have it. The Letterboxd score seems more realistic. And the fact is we live in a much more reactionary world with less nuance then ever before. Editor's Note: I'm not including cro-magnon man here, though it may be a close race.

- rk190810March 31, 2025If the move was well made and actually good, irrespective of what all craps the actor says or believes in, people would have accepted the movie. So unless Zegler herself wrote and directed, she is being made the scapegoat for a disney attempt gone wrong.

Stiff as a board—Rachel Zegler’s Snow White has all the charm of a wet sock, and don’t get me started on the dwarves, or whatever those CGI gremlins were supposed to be. The plot’s a mess, zigzagging between preachy monologues and pointless musical numbers that sound like they were written by a tone-deaf AI. Visually, it’s a garish overload—think cheap Instagram filters slapped on a $200 million budget. Even the evil queen couldn’t save this disaster, and she’s usually the best part! Save your money and rewatch the 1937 classic instead—this one’s only good for inducing naps.
