Sally Rawling is visiting her ex-husband Edward Morgan, a black man. While in his car they begin to make out, when a police car comes, they mistakenly assume that he is raping her so they act, an altercation ensues with Edward being killed. Sally tries to do what she can to bring the man who killed Edward, Officer Wexler to justice but it's her word against his and his partner. So, she does what she can.
