Directed by Roger CormanTwo men escaping the police by ship are blown off course by a typhoon and shipwrecked on an uncharted island populated by women who make a living diving for pearls. What the men don't know is that the women are also part of a shark cult that sacrifices young virgins to the sharks in the surrounding ocean in order to appease the shark gods.

- Charles YnfanteMay 18, 2025The movie "She Gods of Shark Reef" is about an hour long. The cinematography is basic: black and white, daylight. There is no added artificial lighting. In my opnion, there are wonderful set pieces: a cove-bay-beach with craggy cliff-like hills in the background. This interesting place was in tne movie time and time again from the same camera angle. A nice location. The scenes on the reef are lovely with lush, flowing water, and breaking waves on the rocks with foam and spray --- all natural and pretty. The sequences under water were not extensive and they were real, yet with a magical feeling. The soundtrack seemed to fit the action, yet seemed not to fit--- but it worked for this motion picture. The opening song was nice; however, it would have been mich better if sung more slowly and in a deeper voice. But the song itself is very nice. For a low budget movie, there are truly nice scenes, music and moments as mentioned above. Review by Charles Ynfante.
- Mister ArnOctober 10, 2024The picture quality in this film is not good, but then neither is the story or acting. The highlight of "She Gods" is the loin suits worn by the men.
