The New York setting adds a fresh twist, turning iconic locations into shark-filled disaster zones, which is both hilarious and weirdly creative. The performances are just the right mix of committed and campy, and the cameos add an extra layer of enjoyment if you catch them. Sure, the CGI is far from perfect—but honestly, that’s part of the charm. The only reason it’s not a full 5 stars is that it leans so heavily into chaos that the story sometimes takes a back seat. But let’s be real—that’s not why you’re watching a movie called Sharknado 2. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️½ — A gloriously ridiculous sequel that knows exactly what it is and runs (or swims) with it.
- Richard5. december 2025They doubled down and it worked. Moving the chaos to New York was genius, sharks in the subway, sharks on the Statue of Liberty, sharks everywhere. Ian Ziering and Tara Reid lean into the absurdity and the celebrity cameos (Al Roker, Kelly Osbourne) make it feel like a late night fever dream. It knows it’s ridiculous and it revels in it. Bigger, sillier, and proud of it. Streaming this felt like watching a B‑movie carnival.
