This movie is another example of his acting genius, walken also has never been even just good hes always phenomenal. The whole cast is incredible in this close to flawless action comedy. If you haven't seen this gem, what are you waiting for. This is a lesson in near perfect acting, directing and writing.
- Joe G28. Januar 2026A really enjoyable film that’s funny and occasionally sharp, built around the most trite, contrived versions of organized crime stories and psychopath mythology. It’s self-aware without delving into smugness, happy to make fun of itself while still leaning into the absurdity it’s criticizing. The film is aggressively meta, closer in spirit to Adaptation than most crime comedies, though not as refined or as daring. It knows exactly what kind of movie it’s commenting on, even if it sometimes indulges in the same excesses it’s mocking. Within Martin McDonagh’s filmography, it lands comfortably in the middle. If they’re being ranked, it goes The Banshees of Inisherin, In Bruges, Seven Psychopaths, then Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. Messy in places, clever in others, and fully aware of both.

Der Drehbuchautor Marty hat beim Schreiben Ladehemmung und kommt mit seinem Drehbuch einfach nicht weiter. Dabei hat er mit '7 Psychopaths' bereits einen guten Titel, aber ihm fehlen die Figuren. Deshalb gibt sein bester Freund Billy eine Anzeige auf, in der er Psychopathen sucht – und zieht Marty in die Auseinandersetzung mit dem Gangsterboss Charlie hinein, dessen geliebten Hund Bonnie er entführt hat. Daher stecken sie schon bald mit Billys undurchsichtigem Chef Hans inmitten eines aberwitzigen Abenteuers.
