Scream 7 Ratings & Reviews
- Michael HarrisonFebruary 27, 2026Remember always shoot the head Enjoyable but not my favourite from the franchise. The girls missing from last film are very much missed. Some great jump scares & kills which I enjoyed.
- cultfilmliker1d agoPaid all that money to get Neve Campbell just to do….this? Hub Tries way too much to live in the past. Even the music cuss! Extremely weak! Was not prepared for the abrupt, blaring Turnstile song lol Free Palestine, Free Melissa Barrera, Free Jenna Ortega, Free Radio Silence PS A couple walked in right before the climax, and left right before the credits. Either the living embodiment of Ugly Mane’s line “Tell me the conclusions to stories I ain’t got time for” or they made a grave mistake in walking into the wrong Scream theater at the wrong time Watched at Warren Regal 21 Currently Ranked #14/20 in 2026 Ranked
- piotrgryczkowski1d agoLoved it but the killers didnt make any sense
- FlashLovesMovies2d agoI loved scream 7 I thought the plot and everything was good it could have been better but overall it’s not a bad movie
- ricomckee2d agoNostalgia is the name of the game and it works! Cheering in the theaters at the end. Know all the other movies to pick up on hidden gems and recreated scenes.
- carter28825d agoScream 7 is a great sequel that takes the franchise into a different direction. I love the smaller town setting of the movie, gives off Woodsboro vibes. I really enjoy the soundtrack in this movie as well. I love seeing Sidney back and I love her relationship with her daughter and how it’s the centre of the film. The performances are great in here, specifically from Neve and Isabelle. The other cast members are kind of wasted but still have their moments. The kills in the film are more brutal than ever, with some fantastic chase scenes. My biggest issue with this movie is the horrible twist and third act. So overall a couple of issues but still a awesome sequel.
- eitaks0February 28, 2026Don’t get me wrong it’s not the best of the series but I think people forget that they are now on the seventh film with their third director! It felt like it was moving with the times but also had that nostalgic feel and didn’t feel gen z or that different to the vibe! It definitely met my expectations and has some of the most disturbing deaths
- Hipster ZOMBIE7d agoThere’s a specific kind of heartbreak reserved for watching a band you once worshipped roll into town with gray in their stubble and a setlist made entirely of the hits they can’t play all to well anymore. That, in surround sound, is Scream 7. The last two entries actually felt alive. They cracked the formula open, played with legacy and “requel” logic in clever ways, and introduced new characters who were interesting enough that we didn’t spend the whole runtime scanning the shadows for Sidney Prescott. They could have kept building on that momentum. They had a fresh crop of survivors who didn’t need to cling to the franchise umbilical cord. Instead, Scream 7 goes back to the well with Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox… and that well is starting to echo. Sidney and Gale are trapped in a loop, repeating character beats and motivations like they’re stuck in a franchise-themed Groundhog Day. The dialogue teeters on self-parody, except nobody seems in on the joke. There’s meta, and then there’s reheated meta. This is the latter, served lukewarm. Let’s get something out of the way: I’m not one of the pitchfork crowd who boycotted this because an actress from the last two films got herself fired after airing loudly confident opinions on a topic she clearly didn’t understand. If you’re bold enough to gamble your career on half-baked geopolitics, you have to accept the consequences. That’s not the film’s fault. The tragedy here is creative, not political. And creatively? The cupboard is bare. The new cast should have been the lifeline. Actress Isabel May is a genuinely strong performer. Watch her in “Run,Hide,Fight” and you’ll see she can carry tension like it’s a loaded weapon. Here, she’s saddled with a character who goes back and forth between whiny and bafflingly oblivious. It’s less “final girl” and more “final draft that needed another pass.” So much for Sydney Prescott The Next Generation. Then there’s actress McKenna Grace, who in recent horror outings has shown she has the quiet intensity of a final girl we wish we had here. In this film? Criminally underused. The script gives her just enough to remind you she deserves better. Joel McHale pops up as Sidney’s husband, and as someone who appreciates McHale’s razor-dry comedic timing, watching him wander through scenes with nothing to chew on feels wrong. As for all those juicy fan theories and rumored cameos? Forget them. The film dangles possibilities like carrots in front of a horse, only to yank them away at the finish line. Except there was never a carrot. Just you, panting, realizing you sprinted toward nothing. Like a total jackass. The killer reveal, traditionally the franchise’s crown jewel, lands with the dramatic weight of a shrug. At first you think the film is pulling an elaborate fake-out. Then you realize this is the actual reveal. This is the hill the movie chose to die on. Instead of feeling shocked or delighted, you feel duped. Not in a clever, “you got me” way. In a “that’s it?” way. Tonally, the film has more in common with Scream 4 than the sharper highs of the series. It lacks the bite of Scream, the propulsive energy of Scream 5, or even the scrappy reinvention of the last installment. It just kind of… happens. Is it a franchise killer? No. The Scream brand is sturdier than that. But this entry feels like the moment we could look at in the future where the franchise started lean too close to the edge. Not forgotten. Just filed away in the section labeled: We don’t need to revisit this one.
- Danielle Johnson7d agoI absolutely enjoyed the movie but I hated the reveal of the killers and the motive was terrible
- Timeless CinemaMarch 2, 2026Scream 7 makes a good effort at delivering mysterious twists, but doesn't quite reach the mark it's aiming for. It's fun, has solid thrills, with the story being the largest weakness.
- Oʂɯαʅԃσ RσყҽƚƚMarch 1, 2026Scream 7 works when it leans into its fast pace, more explicit violence, and Sidney's strong presence at the center of the narrative. The family dynamic brings an interesting freshness and helps create a sense of urgency, especially in her relationship with her daughter. The film is entertaining, delivers solid tension sequences, and maintains constant energy.
- wynMarch 1, 2026I’m sure it will rebound by Scream 10.
- McKenna_Grace's_GirlFebruary 28, 2026I KEEP WRITING FREAKING LONG REVIEWS, BUT IT KEEPS GETTING DELETED SO IN SHORT VERSION. Kinda slow and boring at some parts, Ghostface reveals were "goofy," but unexpected. Other Scream films were better, I heard they're making Scream 8? Bring back Sam and Tara!🙏 anyway, yeah. Sad bc I had longer reviews, but they deleted 😔
- bruisrbrodyFebruary 27, 2026Scream 7 is fun but incredibly flawed. Excellent opening scene and a few fun kills throughout the film. However, the writing is atrocisous and cannot be ignored. Nostalgia dumps aren't enough to give this a positive review, despite what the average movie-goer will tell you. A franchise that has always been mid at best, is now a franchise that has fallen off a cliff.
