Scream 2 Ratings & Reviews
- LivewireAdminDecember 2, 2025Almost every it as enjoyable as the first. Love the Eels needle drop in the beginning. Can we get a full release of Stab? That cast is stacked.

- ርልዪረOctober 9, 2025Plot: Set two years after the original murders, Sidney Prescott is now in college, trying to live a normal life. However, a new Ghostface killer emerges, targeting Sidney and her friends while echoing the original Woodsboro murders. The story follows Sidney as she confronts the new threat and uncovers the killer’s identity. Strengths: Meta & Self-Aware: Continues the franchise’s signature satirical take on horror sequels and slasher tropes. Suspenseful: Strong tension and cleverly crafted jump scares keep audiences engaged. Return of Original Cast: Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette reprise their roles effectively. Expanded Story: Explores the impact of the original killings and media attention on the survivors. Weaknesses: Derivative at Times: Some sequences mirror the first film, making parts feel predictable. Killer’s Motives: Slightly more convoluted than in the original, which may confuse some viewers. Less Groundbreaking: While still excellent, it doesn’t have the same revolutionary impact as the first film. Overall: Scream 2 is a strong and entertaining sequel that builds on the first film’s success. It balances suspense, humor, and meta-commentary while keeping Ghostface as a terrifying presence. It’s a must-watch for fans of the franchise.
- ZokkiieAugust 11, 2025A worthy sequel that delivers sharp scares and knowing winks, even if it can’t match the freshness of the first. Fun, fast, and full of memorable moments, it’s a good time for fans who just want more thrills and suspense.
- JakeCiemyApril 13, 2025Good sequel but it hasn't surpassed the original
- Kirsty MacDonaldOctober 31, 2025When you watch it back it's obvious who the killers are. But at the time it was brilliant.
- andrewJuly 2, 2025my confusions of university life were abundant, but after watching this film i feel myself now enlightened to the dangers of enrolling in a performing arts college. what shocked me most was not how many people were stabbed, but how the film failed to deliver any good musical numbers, despite being set in a performing arts school. actually quite realistic.
- Kevin WardJuly 4, 2025Continuing my watch of the Scream franchise with my daughter. I honestly don’t remember the last time I watched this one. It may have been it’s original theatrical release. I definitely did not remember how stacked this cast was. On top of the returning members of the original, this has: Sarah Michelle Gellar, Joshua Jackson, Jerry O Connell, Portia de Rossi, Rebecca Gayheart, Heather Graham, Jada Pinkett Smith, Omar Epps, Tori Spelling, Luke Wilson, Selma Blair. Plus you’ve got Stab as one of the all-time movie-within-a-movies ever. Rewatching this was really fun.
- Spencer MBOctober 2, 2025Meh. I like that it directly ties back into the first movie and plays on the gimmicks expected of sequels (and the cast is great) but it doesn't quite capture the magic of the first.
- charliesimon778May 18, 2025I thought this was amazing how Sydney played by Neve Campbell went off to college and got new friends. Including how one of them ends up being the murder. Including how it uses the same ghost face voice. I thought it was really good seeing the three main characters again and were trying to solve the murder mystery of who did it. The scenes that I enjoyed while watching Scream 2 was when Gale Weathers and Dewey Riley return and they try to catch the ghostface killers and try to save Sidney’s life. Including how the last couple scenes took place at the Theater department of the college.
